EDIT: PAL/USA playback problem Eric Rohmer Bluray Boxset

Hi! I haven't bought a player in a few years. What I have BD-D6700 (from 2011) and a BD-HS5900 (from 2014) I know 50hz is not really advertised which is why I recommended testing at BestBuy. Good luck!

EDIT: PAL/USA playback problem Eric Rohmer Bluray Boxset

Boy you don't let go do you:) My Samsung player will play 50 or 60 hz 1080i/p content just fine. But it will not play "Phase Alternating Line" content any way shape or form....nuff said.

EDIT: PAL/USA playback problem Eric Rohmer Bluray Boxset

Ch3vrOn! Always happy to dialog with you. I find you far more knowledgeable in many areas than I. PAL and NTSC are both terms held over from the Analogue days. 1080i/p is a worldwide standard for High Definition neither Pal nor NTSC. 50/60 hz authoring seems to be a hold over from the Analogue...

EDIT: PAL/USA playback problem Eric Rohmer Bluray Boxset

I actually prefer Sony players as they seem to do seamless branching better. Just my observation. Back in the day I can see the argument of locking frame rate to power line frequency but it just doesn't seem so valid anymore. I've read that in other locals Sony players do both 50 and 60hz. Why...

EDIT: PAL/USA playback problem Eric Rohmer Bluray Boxset

I'd trip on over to BestBuy with one of your problem discs and ask to test it in a Samsung player. Most Samsung and several LG's will play 1080i 50hz authored discs. Had this problem with several Brit programs of the wife's.

    What sets the destination path?

Here's a screen shot. Is your playback database doing it?

    What sets the destination path?

Every ripping program I've used going back to DVD Shrink has worked that way. They rip to a folder based on the disc label appended to the path you set. Some use all caps with underscores some don't. If they didn't work this way then when you ripped multiple DVDs and forgot to change your...

    Jigsaw wrong title set

Rip to hard disc (full disc) is pulling the wrong title set. Correct title set should be 1.31:52 long but Anydvd is coming up with 1.34:11. Using 8216 beta. Thanks

    Advice on Br Coasters

Glad to hear! I've burned over 1000 25 gig data discs with powertogo 7 and 10 using a Asus drive and only had 2-4 coasters all identified as defective media(visible nicks). All disks verified by CRC32. When I encountered the problem with my LG drive I was beyond the 30 day Amazon return so I had...

    Advice on Br Coasters

I would guess that your image contains errors. But I really have no clue Lightning UK in the imgburn forum is the best person to read and understand the burn logs. Sorry I missed that your previous failures were writing, I saw the verify check mark and assumed it was during verify. I don't know...

    Advice on Br Coasters

Thanks for the link! Seems mute since they are effectively the same drive. I did update both of my drives to 1.03 as they are SVC Code NS50. Doing some reading I am thinking NewbieGuy1 is having the same problem I had with the LG drive. His errors are occurring after the layer break and the NS50...

    Advice on Br Coasters

Sorry to hear. Drives I have date from late 2016 to January 2017 both being WH16NS40's. One I know is SVC Code NS50. I'll try that one later today. Wish there was a real explanation from LG as to what the difference between WH and BH is. I've read white/black (not) RHOS (not) and bulk/retail...

    Advice on Br Coasters

Sure..Glad to! http://www.lg.com/us/support/software-firmware-drivers Enter your model number and that will take you to the download links. You might need to pull your drive and look for SVC Code (relating to hardware revisions). I noted that 1.02 was from 2014. Might be that some of the new...

    Advice on Br Coasters

Go to LG website and download 1.03 firmware released 12/08/2017. Might help. Firmware HQ seems to be a bit behind.

    Advice on Br Coasters

Hi, Very junior member here but I had exactly the same problem with that LG drive and media. I know a great number of users here use and like LG drives but every manufacture from time to time make bad equipment. Even slowing record speed to 2X did not correct the problem. The drive read disks...
