Anydvd (RedFox) and UHD/AACS 2.0 - There is hope

This. I don't even own a DVD/Blu-ray player. I have several 4K titles so far but, I don't own a 4K display yet. My family hasn't put a Dvd into a tray since 2011 when I got my first NAS and I'm not going back to doing so now. I bought a new NAS last year and am using the old one as a true...

Anydvd (RedFox) and UHD/AACS 2.0 - There is hope

Interesting, I've never looked at it that way. I'm glad I've resisted upgrading to 4K so far. I'm waiting for it to be much more mature and way cheaper because as you point out it's just not that big of a leap. Additionally I will not upgrade until I can rip my own disks to my server. Sent...

Anydvd (RedFox) and UHD/AACS 2.0 - There is hope

Not according to the June 17 Sound & Vision that I just pulled out of the mailbox. It says "Blu-ray ended 2016 with 110 Ultra HD titles and unit sales of 300,000, three time the original HD Blu-ray format in its first year. Another 250 titles are expected by year end..." Sent from my iPhone...

Prepare for a little backlash on that comment because I have seen more than a couple liberal weenies floating around in here LOL. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Lifetime License my butt

This is in reply to the thread that got locked but, it works here too: Regardless of what's happened before or since you don't yell at your (potential) customers and insinuate they're stupid because they're complaining. Period. I've been in the retail world all my working life and I can...

Is there a discounted migration offer for users of old SlySoft licenses?

Ch3vr0n, looking around I see that the subject has been beaten to death so I'll just say this: I definitely agree that it was a bad idea but, not from their perspective. ;) Live and learn I guess. I'll stick with MakeMKV for my BR rips until whoever breaks 4k.

Is there a discounted migration offer for users of old SlySoft licenses?

There should be an ongoing discount for people who bought a lifetime AnyDVD license. I know it's a "different" company but, it's mostly the same people that wouldn't be drawing a check today if it weren't for supporters, especially lifetime purchasers, of AnyDVD. Great first post, eh? :D
