Please Read AnyStream for Linux (updated to support more Linux distributions)

Just a quick thank you for releasing this for Linux. After following someone's tip I have this running just fine on Fedora 38. Will be delighted to have one less reason to need a Windows 11 VM.

Checking Blu-Ray ISO's integrity generated by AnyDVD HD

Pretty much verified that the majority of errors I see reported are from small m2ts files, so likely types of data that ffmpeg doesn't understand. The likelyhood (probability) is that read errors would be in the huge video files (as they occupy the vast bulk of the disk). So I'm looking for...

Checking Blu-Ray ISO's integrity generated by AnyDVD HD

I have written a shell script on Linux to check my Blu-Ray Images. I had quite a few errors on my existing images, but changing to a new LG drive is producing much better results, most disc images are totally clean but some produce some errors (but a lot less than my previous drive, so I'm...

Checking Blu-Ray ISO's integrity generated by AnyDVD HD

Does it verify images with ISO ripping or just "to hard disk"? Cause I ripped a BD disc with this version the other day and it does have errors with my ffmpeg verify but wasn't flagged by AnyDVD.

Checking Blu-Ray ISO's integrity generated by AnyDVD HD

I thought the latest beta location was at the top of this forum. I can't see it. I see a reference to 8.2.5.0 2018 05 14 (which is the current version I have I think) and it says: - New (Blu-ray): Added integrity check to AnyDVD ripper (unprotected image and folder) But I can't see anything...

Checking Blu-Ray ISO's integrity generated by AnyDVD HD

So I guess we are saying it is possible for a Read Error on the media to not be seen and generate video file corruption? And maybe common?

Checking Blu-Ray ISO's integrity generated by AnyDVD HD

I was seeing a few errors when I was transcoding from an AnyDVD ripped Blu-Ray. So I thought I would look at doing an integrity check on my images. My ISO was generated straight from AnyDVD from a Blu-Ray. From a bit of reading it seems like ffmpeg can provide a good analysis of video file...

ISO files to play on tv

I guess there are a few ways. A lot of people seem to use things like PowerDVD with an ISO. You have to mount the ISO as a drive, Red Fox's Virtual CloneDrive allows this. Personally on computers I use VLC which can play DVD with full menu support and some level of BluRay menu support which is...

    Ripping streaming video

People can capture streaming services either with screen capture software or via HDMI. One issue is that it's quite hard to capture the surround sound via HDMI (hard to capture DD+), not sure on this with screen capture software. The big downside is even with the lower bandwidth of the stream...

    AnyDVD for Linux ?

Yup I do use AnyDVD, it's a great product, it's the only decent way to transfer my Blu-Ray's as ISO's to a file server. It would be nice if open source programs get Blu-Ray menu support, it would provide the whole experience (like DVD's do on VLC, Kodi) so I just don't want any reason to have...

    AnyDVD for Linux ?

Maybe some blu-rays do strange things, but I've always found that the track that has the longest duration is the movie. And with a box set disc, the first decent length track is episode 1 and the next episodes follow sequentially from this. Besides there are usually only about 10 tracks (often...

    AnyDVD for Linux ?

I just gave you the software names that allow this! Now are they more hassle (potentially, it depends on the use case) and not as good with BluRay menus as say PowerDVD (none are). Do most people care about BluRay menus or just playing the main movie on a Blu-Ray (or extracting it)? It depends...

    AnyDVD for Linux ?

What? No "codec" what are you talking about? BluRay's are pretty much all H264, no issue on Linux. Decryption of commercial bluray's, that is more of an issue, but can be done. Unencrypted ISO's of bluray's (say from AnyDVD) no issue. I must be imagining playing Blu-Ray's on Linux with vlc, Kodi...

    AnyDVD for Linux ?

I was only telling people (as discussed earlier in this thread) how to play Blu-Ray content on Linux. Today's Windows AnyDVD is a valid method to extract the content to allow it's playback on Linux if you have a decent amount of disk space. Once extracted you no longer need Windows to play the...

    AnyDVD for Linux ?

Perhaps required but unlike Windows, Linux device interfaces aren't usually as restrictive (i.e. generally they won't stop you getting to the lowest level of device access) e.g. why you have things like "AIR Crack" starting on Linux but are still a hassle on Windows. I can't think of what low...

    AnyDVD for Linux ?

On Blu-ray playback on Linux, there are a few ways. Personally I want my Blu-Rays on a NAS, so I use AnyDVD to turn them into unencrypted ISOs and these play with VLC,Kodi etc. Or another easy way I guess, is to use makemkv on Linux (which is still is in beta for Linux so they give out the key...
