Marvels Avengers: Age of Ultron and Ant-Man

In an interesting turn of events, my new BH16NS40 came today...and it plays back all of the aforementioned movies, no problem at all. Ant-Man, Avengers included. So a bad blu-ray part in the WH, I suppose? Not sure, either way, case closed! Thanks again for the help Ch3vr0n and everyone else!

Marvels Avengers: Age of Ultron and Ant-Man

Will do, that was a question I'd asked LG when I called their support, they said it would be a question for Microsoft as to why it wouldn't allow me to update the Firmware...given that it was a Checksum error and was "registry related"...that's beyond me, but could have been an excuse to get me...

Marvels Avengers: Age of Ultron and Ant-Man

In doing some research the only difference between the BH and the WH is the retail packaging with the PowerDVD software, is that correct? Either way, I'm sending my WH back today and ordering the BH, found one on NewEgg.

Marvels Avengers: Age of Ultron and Ant-Man

I'm definitely leaning towards an issue with the LG WH16NS40 here, I put the drive into 2 different computers and now its playing back choppy/pixelated on any blu ray I put in! UGH! I'm going to send this one back and try another of the same model, unless someone else has a different suggestion?

Marvels Avengers: Age of Ultron and Ant-Man

Just to rule this out, I'm going to try this BD drive in another computer and see what happens.

Marvels Avengers: Age of Ultron and Ant-Man

I apologize, this is obviously not an AnyDVD related issue and I do appreciate the feedback, regardless! I connected a monitor via HDMI, so I'm HDCP compliant and still, PowerDVD plays back the Blu Ray garbled and distorted. Regardless if AnyDVD is enabled or not, same results. I can pop in...

Marvels Avengers: Age of Ultron and Ant-Man

Cleaning the disc had no impact. Unchecking "Remove annoying video sequences" made no difference either. I did install PowerDVD (trial) and I think I might be on to something here (maybe)! In trying to rule out every little aspect here, I normally don't access this computer directly via...

Marvels Avengers: Age of Ultron and Ant-Man

But the confusing part to me is that the Blu Ray itself plays back (before conversion) with the distortion in VLC or MPC-HC.

Marvels Avengers: Age of Ultron and Ant-Man

Thanks Jeff and Ch3vr0n, I appreciate the input here! Those are actually the exact firmware updates I'd found on LG's website, but as I said, those don't work, I'll call LG via their support # when they are open. I tried playback with VLC and with MPC-HC x64 which both netted the same results...

Marvels Avengers: Age of Ultron and Ant-Man

My apologies, I've attached the log file, also I'm on the latest version of AnyDVD HD 7.6.9.1 on a Windows 10 - 64-bit system

Marvels Avengers: Age of Ultron and Ant-Man

First time posting here, LONG time user of AnyDVD/AnyDVD HD, with a lifetime key. Love the fact that Red Fox is superseding the former! I'm having issues backing up my copies of Avengers: Age of Ultron and Ant-Man. I've been able to backup both The Good Dinosaur and Inside Out without problems...
