Read error while reading ISO on disc

Unlikely that the image was damaged after the rip given that the hash captured at creation time by AnyDVD itself in the .md5 file still matches the content. That leaves us with a failure during the creation of the protected image. I'll re-rip and see what happens. Thanks for the help.

Q: Is it normal for decrypted BD ISOs to be smaller than original ISO?

Confirmed that the resulting ISO has the same size as the original when using Virtual CloneDrive. Go figure. Any idea why this is happening with the native ISO support? Thanks for the tip.

Read error while reading ISO on disc

Just tried Virtual CloneDrive. Got the same error at around the same place (99% complete). Don't remember if the message was the same but this one says "verify error sectors" instead of "read error sectors".

Read error while reading ISO on disc

Via PowerShell: Mount-DiskImage <path_to_iso>. I believe this uses OpenVirtualDisk and AttachVirtualDisk under the covers.

Q: Is it normal for decrypted BD ISOs to be smaller than original ISO?

Via PowerShell: Mount-DiskImage <path_to_iso> I understand this works under the covers by calling OpenVirtualDisk (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/desktop/api/virtdisk/nf-virtdisk-openvirtualdisk) followed by AttachVirtualDisk...

Argh! My bad. :( This was supposed to be posted on the BD forum. Please disregard, I'll post there.

Read error while reading ISO on disc

My apologies, I don't know why I ended up posting this in the DVD forum. It was actually meant for the Blu-Ray one. Is there any way to move this thread there? Otherwise, I'll post again there. My apologies again.

Read error while reading ISO on disc

I have an ISO I ripped a while ago with 'keep protection' enabled. Yesterday I mounted it and re-ripped it in order to remove the protection. This particular ISO seems to always fail at 99% with read errors, even though I'm able to read the contents of the original ISO file just fine and the MD5...

Q: Is it normal for decrypted BD ISOs to be smaller than original ISO?

I have several BD ISOs that I ripped with 'keep protection' enabled a while ago. Yesterday I batch re-ripped them to remove the protection. What I noticed was that the resulting decrypted ISOs are always 2048 bytes smaller than the original ones. I haven't checked the decrypted ISO content yet...

AnyDVD HD continues to rip event after USB drive disconnect

First of all, I think this may be a general problem, but the last time it happened, it did with a DVD, so I'm posting here. Let me know if a different place would have been more appropriate. My scenario is to rip a DVD to an ISO image. I have a couple of USB external drives connected to a...
