I have been using AnyDVD (and AnyDVDHD) for years. Best home theater backup investment I have ever made.

I have the 2D_WW disc, had to install a patch on my PowerDVD 10, as well as install the beta of AnyDVD, in order to rip my blu iso and play it properly. However, we watched good portion of it last night, and have had no problems at all!

I've been running this build on a Window 7 machine and have not run into any problems. In fact, I was pleased that I was able to rip the blu-ray of The Hurt Locker.

I had no issues ripping the blu image, and playing back on WinDVD 9 and PowerDVD...

It already was. I actually set it to no region, re-ripped the ISO, and now it works, although it takes the software a couple of minutes to spin up the file.

I seem to have successfully burn the blu iso of XFiles 2, but when VirtualCloneDrive tries to mount the image, I get a Fox screen saying that the disc is formatted for region A, and my drive is not set up for region A. Any ideas? I haven't seen this before.

What I meant is that my receiver won't let me access the HDMI video/audio input and a separate digital audio input at the same time. If the HDMI is plugged in, it assumes that's were the audio comes from, too, and won't allow me to assign a separate digital optical signal.

Well, I've been threatening to upgrade my HTPC to Vista anyway. If I can get my HDMI to just send the video, and use my optical cable to send the 5.1, I'd be set, but my receiver doesn't support that (as far as I can see.)

Thanks, Shadow. I have already been given the goahead from my wife to get something that will let us had tru HD from the HTPC to our HDTV. We just upgraded our Beyond TV to 4.9 so I can record the unencrypted QAM channels from my cable, but going VGA to the TV gives us a slightly soft picture.

Generally, I have just ripped my SD discs to a video folder, which are easily readable by WinDVD. I am assuming that AnyDVD HD will allow me to rip the blus to a video folder in the same manner. I do not have to rip to an ISO file?

So I am to understand that once I upgrade, I can easily rip my blu-discs to my hard drive, and play my files using PowerDVD Ultra or WinDVD9+blu, just like I currently do with my standard discs? If this is not correct, please let me know.
