They have stopped updating shrink - Thats why if if use shrink I use it with ripit4me - some titles won't work with anydvd and shrink together. Nero recode is the new shrink - but its not free.

I use ripit4me (free) to rip to hard drive if I'm going to use dvdshrink. The whole point of me owning anydvd is so I don't have to rip at all if I don't want to. Also Shrink will automatically burn to disk using dvddecrypter (required with ripit4me and can be installed from ripit4me menu)

does the trial version work? Also, check if anydvd is running in task manager, even though it isn't in your tray also, is your system hyperthreaded?

It may be that your anti-virus/anti-spyware products are blocking any registry changes. Try turning them off before reinstalling both anydvd and the key

You can rip the DVD to hard disk first by right clicking on the ANYDVD icon in your tray. Shrink should have no problems. CLONEDVD is great for a fast copy on the fly - unbeatable in that respect and gives same quality as DVDSHRINK normal mode. But the greater the compression required - the less...

With ANYDVD I use CloneDVD2, DVDSHRINK, DVD-RB and even Nero if the disc is single layer -no problems. Great product.

Have you got latest version anydvd? Also, is the Trilogy your latest attempt ie have you tried copying DVDs after attempting the Trilogy?

In clonedvd just use the "Copy DVD Titles" option. You get movie only selected by default - Usually its the AC3/6. Audio stream. Directors commentaries is an AC3/2 stream normally. Make sure the AC3/2 is deselected before copying

Have AnyDVD running. It removes the protection.

Your dvd burner is probably on its way out. It may work sometimes and it may even work on smaller files but is not handling large DVD files. It has happened to me recently. My burner was only 12 months old. I kept it for reading/ripping files but installed a new burner alongside it. No problems...
