PAL to NTSC

According to the menu, I should be able to re-record any DVD in the world to play on a U.S. Region 1 DVD player but...
I bought the movie "Ishtar" online from England and it's in PAL format. Won't AnyDVD re-record into NTSC for me? Any Suggestions?

Okay. Thanks for the prompt reply. I happen to have a PAL player. I can dust it off and do a "work around"
