NVIDIA's next-gen Ada Lovelace AD102 GPU: 24GB GDDR6X @ 21Gbps, 600W+
NVIDIA's next-gen flagship AD102 GPU: fresh rumors state 24GB GDDR6X (no change here) but @ 21Gbps, up to 600W TGP, and more.

It's a new day, so we have a new rumor for NVIDIA's next-gen AD102-powered GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card... which BTW, could be called the GeForce RTX 5090... more on that here.
Until now, NVIDIA's next-gen Ada Lovelace GPU would arrive with the flagship AD102-powered GeForce RTX 4090, and 24GB of GDDR6X memory at a faster 24Gbps. The 24GB of GDDR6X memory on the newly-released GeForce RTX 3090 Ti is closed at 21Gbps, for comparison.
But the new rumors state that the RTX 4090 would have the AD102-300 GPU, with 24GB of GDDR6X memory at a slower 21Gbps (so, the same bandwidth as the RTX 3090 Ti and its GDDR6X) but a much higher 600W of power consumption. This is up from the 450-500W of power that the custom RTX 3090 Ti models use, so it should be fun to see how far they can be pushed.

It will be $3,000 and you won't be able to find one anyway :p

Too power hungry. I may end up with one at some point but I'm happy with my 3080. Once best buy gets the lg g2 77 in stock I'll be pairing the 3080 with that. That will be very fun since it's a gsync panel.

I have a Strix 3080Ti now, and it's been fine with an 850W PSU, but the 4090 uses over 650Ws by themselves so 1000PSU would absolutely be needed for any build that has one.

Yea and they're planning an entirely new 12v connector to handle the 600+W that these new power hungry cards would require. That starts to get a little ugly in the US on circuits to provide that much power. You'd almost need a dedicated 20amp circuit like a damn fridge!!!

Since I got very lucky with this 3080Ti,( I didn't pay for it) I built a computer for a company to use at CES and they never went because of Covid, and they let me keep the parts. All the boxes were open and I had the computer 1/2 done so now I have an AMD 5950X build with a 3080Ti Strix.

That's a very nice machine. I rebuilt my HTPC with a 5900x and a 3080 strix. In order to acquire the 3080 I bought an ASUS gaming machine and stripped the video card out of it. Then I took the rest of the machine and put it in my bedroom for a second HTPC with my 2070. Once my C8 moves to the bedroom I'll make use of it. The 3080 series cards are beasts.

I like my build because I love the case, its a Corsair 500Dse, it's awesome and comes with 4 RGB Corsair fans and the Commander fan controller. https://www.amazon.com/CORSAIR-Obsi...ocphy=9003673&hvtargid=pla-469028100890&psc=1
