Laser light writes the media, any kind of light will over time unwrite them. Ever notice that purchased DVDs are in opaque cases? Putting a DVD in a clear jewel case is asking for it! If you want to keep them a long time, keep them in the dark.

I'm not about to get into an argument over blank media; I've got better things to do. I do not make comments like this lightly. Not all Memorex is horrible, but it varies enough that I run away.
