About the AnyDVD scanner:
If a disc is also not yet supported, then the drive scans for a very long time. The drive "saws" and makes strong noises.
But if a disc is supported, the drive scans only very briefly (a few seconds) and without any sawing noise.
I think the text in the pop-up message should be changed if a disc cannot be decrypted yet.
The AnyDVD scanner should not torture the drive if the disc cannot yet be decrypted.

No, this is not correct. At all. AnyDVD is having issues with unsupported discs in your case, and the grinding you hear is likely a remnant of the sleep bug. In a normal situation you will not get a bus encryption failure AT ALL on a UHD Friendly drive. This is not indicative of the scanner process, this is indicative of an AnyDVD problem which is outside the scope of the scanner. Bus encryption failure errors are valid for other drives and need to be reported as a problem because people often try to scan with official UHD drives that are NOT supported by AnyDVD.

Again, this is a problem with AnyDVD not the scanner.
 
Ok thx I tried unzipping it and installing it but my antivirus says it has a Trojan and won’t let me proceed I’m using AVG antivirus please advise thx

Our procedure now for submitting information for the List is to run the Scanner tool in post #2 on your discs.

Then paste it's report here from the clipboard -- as well as attach the scan file it creates.

You can find the file in your AnyDVD logfile folder.


See the post right above yours for an example.

Im wondering because its very old. >> ??

Cyberhawk,

It's great that your titles are now supported.

But as @Ch3vr0n says, we have a new method of reporting now.

You'll need to download the Scanner from post #2, run it on all on your discs (newly-supported and unsupported) and attach the Scan Report file created.

That'll take care of adding your new titles and removing the ones you've just found are working.
