Wow, first update in 4 years!!

Just shows how stable this software is.

Also, shouldn't this be a sticky, and supersede the beta on top??

It'll get stickied when a mod is on. Elby had always stated that the software was pretty much as stable as it could be but would always be updated to ensure compatibility with new OS releases.

It needed to be updated a little after w7 came out, now again for w10. Doesn't surprise me but an update is always nice. Yay lifetime licenses ;-)

WOW!!!!!

I thought this software was dead but it rises from the ashes again like a phoenix. :)

Never was dead, hence the beta on top of the forum. But as the saying goes: 'If it ain't broken, don't fix it'.

There must have been a slight w10 compatibility issue, and added some other things at the same time. :)

Yep, Ch3vr0n, we don't have to pay for any updates, since we both have lifetime licenses.

Like you, I'll say, "Yay!!"

This is sooooooo cool! I was in the middle of a string of DVD backups when I noticed there was an AnyDVD update. Download the new version and install it, knowing my running CloneDVD would need to be restarted. I restart CloneDVD and Whaaaa?!? An UPDATE?!?

Yah! Lifetime Updates! :D

Will it update Clonedvd from slysoft?

You have nothing to worry about. Whether you bought it from Slysoft, RedFox, or elby, the license you paid for will be updated for CloneDVD2.

Using myself as an example, I updated CloneDVD2 back in 2015, and it still works today.

Also, please see comments #1 through #6 above for more clarification on the matter at hand.

EDIT: Here is the official RedFox response to your query:

Important information for SlySoft license owners!

SlySoft license keys for AnyDVD (HD) will only work up to version 7.6.9.5. The RedFox OPD (Online Protection Database) for this version will be available until Tuesday, May 31, 2016, afterwards AnyDVD HD may no longer be able to decrypt discs.

SlySoft licenses of other products are not affected and will continue to work normally.

It was, as the first post clearly states. CloneDVD never was developed by Slysoft, it was developed (and still is) by elaborate bytes. Slysoft merely was a licensed reseller, elby products are NOT affected by the slysoft shutdown. If at some point your license from slysoft would stop working in a newer version then that would be on elaborate bytes, not redfox nor slysoft.
