Define crash.

Did the application crash completely?
Did the encoder stop (then it's not a crash but encoder failure)?

It crashed almost ending the copy process, the appeared the screen to open destination folder or create log. MAybe the encoder stop.
 
If the encoder suddenly stops, it's not an application crash. User application crashes create dump files and the software closes down completely, you were able to attach a cloneBD logfile meaning there was an encodfer failure. Completely different thing.

@Reto @Fabian Steiner your presence is needed.

That looks like a problem that pops up occasionally with the Intel acceleration. The Intel encoder craps out with a "device failed" message.
Usually, it should work, if you simply go again. If not - deactivate acceleration for this disc.
