Problems ripping "The Confirmation" (released by Lionsgate on June 7, 2016 using AnyDVD HD 8.0.2.0 (BDPHash.bin 16-05-19):

At 18%, error message "Repairing defective DVD structure" appears.
As AnyDVD is supposedly repairing defective DVD structure, at 20%, following fatal error appears:
"AnyDVD Ripper: PS 10 VOBU 4 8211 97 Clone 6"

Attached is logfile.

Thank you!

I had no problem using 8.0.2.1. Ripped movie plays fine all the way through.

It sounds like a dirty or defective disc...I had the same type experience the other day with Star Trek DSN...I cleaned the surface carefully and it screamed to completion with a fine copy and no errors.
Some grime is not visible but blocks off bits from the read; I usually see the "Defective structure" message when the used disc has scratches and unknown organic material stuck on the business side.

Well...aside from fact that I suffer the 2nd hand detritus common to children and various foods common on unwashed little hands, obviously Clams has much more experience with XXX titles and went there immediately.
Shame on you...my porn is ALWAYS downloaded, so I never have the same experience as someone who ...well, let the facts speak for themselves!
I do, however, have in my vast collection, not only Barbie and Bratz titles (ex-Daddies with grown-up kids tend to view those as valid titles, but my personal taste runs from Avatar and GOT to my secret pleasure, "Walker, Texas Ranger".)
Wonder no more...the obscenitiy of profanity-free episodes of Chuck Norris eclipses the more common form of guy get-off titles downloaded from Free-Ones and Playboy Online.
Not to mention my favorites from the Western genre...the Cisco Kid, the Rifleman, the Lone Ranger (Johnny Depp-less), and other arcane G-rated series with NO nipple-shots or expletives...pretty nasty stuff!

I do have a vast knowledge of disc cleaning, quite dissimilar from the experience Clams obviously has...but the end game is to free the bytes of file info for backup!

In that respect, I would say this feels like a case of "needs a good cleaning" ...

Where is 8.0.2.1 available? The latest version on the download page and the latest version tagged in this forum is 8.0.2.0 which did not work for The Confirmation. It seemed to copy OK, but it skips the first chapter on playback whether doing movie only or with menus.

Philbert. Did you correct your copy or did you have to do again from the original?

Thanks

If my copies were undamaged (a rare occurrence as I am a nice DVD user...always in the cover and out of the weather) I had no problem re-copying to a new disc or to my HDD with AnyDVD on.

If there were any issues, I copy and pasted to a folder, if necessary 3 or 5 lines at a time...or if there was really an issue, I used IMGburn.
Rarely did a copy give me a problem. Different OS, different laptop maybe, but years of trouble-free AnyDVD so far.
Once, I got a defective HDD and to return it I had to empty it...I used crap blanks to "store" the files for a while; I lost access to several titles that way, but I reacquired them over time. THAT was a clusterfuck...!

So far AnyDVD has not given me problems re-copying...and my blank of choice has been Verbatim or Windata from MicroCenter (US chain).

I am having an issue with this movie as well.
The movie is the confirmation(US)
I am using My Movies to copy the disc
The my movies say this
The copy of the disc 'The_confirmation' failed. The disc is copy protected with a special protection that AnyDVD can not by default handle.
Thanks for the help.

Rip the disk to FOLDER using AnyDVD - process that folder in My movies.
Report back.
