I have been using clone DVD mobile for quite some time now with no problems at all until now. I use AnyDVD in the background and clone dvd mobile to put whatever movies on my iphone or my sons itouch. Yesterday he wanted me to put both Stuart Little and Wreck It Ralph on his itouch. I had absolutely no problems with Stuart Little but Wreck it Ralph either copies with an audio glitch at approximately 56 min or displays "not responding" at 99%. I have tried to rip this 5 times now on 2 different computers. I have tried using the original disc and a copy and the result is the same. Again, like I said originally I have used SlySoft products for quite some time now and this is the first problem ever. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

Known issue

There is a possible way to get around this 99% problem making MP4/MV4 files.

Right click the program's start icon.
Open "Properties"

1. Set compatability to Windows XP service pack 2 for the following programs:
- CloneDVD mobile.exe
- ffmpeg.exe
- mencoder.exe

2. Allow "exlusion" of Bitdefender Total Security 2012 (or similar option in other anti-virus tools) for the following programs:
- CloneDVD mobile.exe
- ffmpeg.exe

And if this works and you run into audio sync issues:

Give this older version a try, please.

http://sandbox.slysoft.com/beta/SetupCloneDVDmobile1802.exe

Install and reboot.

First off I apologize for not including my OS I completely forgot. I am running Win 7 Home Premium service pack 1 64 bit, AMD Phenom II x4 965 3.4Ghz with 4 Mb memory. The Clone DVD Mobile software version I am (was) running is 1.9.0.1. I followed step 1 but was unsure on how to do step 2 so I tried to make the file. The attempt was not successful so I uninstalled that version and installed the older version you suggested. I did set the files to win XP service pack 2 compatability the tried it. It worked like a charm.....

Mine is freezing also. ver. 1.9.0.1

The suggestions about compatibility did not help. I am running Windows Vista Home Edition SP2.

Any other things to try?

Regards,
Joe

I too have used CloneDVDmobile for over 100 titles. The last successful backup was 11/19/2013 with V1.9.0.1. I just tried making a backup copy of Monster's University and on each of the 4 tried it hangs at 99% and will not complete (close the file) the process. I've had to reboot after every attempt. still using V1.9.0.1.

Clone DVD Mobile freezing at 19%

Hi all

I am a new user of CLONE DVD Mobile and just tried to copy a DVD. It copies fine as an AVI file but when i tried to copy to apple IPAD it froze at 19%. The response was that the frame rate differs from the container frame rate. not sure what the means or what to do about it?

Any suggestions?

99% and solutions from Microsoft?

Hi All!

I am also plagued by this problem on WIn 7, 64bit, SP1 fully patched. Interestingly Windows itself directed me to a fix when the app crashed after I applied the compatibility mode suggested above. The site contains new versions of mplayer and the associated sub programs dated December of 2013.

Has anyone tried these yet?

The site recommended by MS is:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/mplayer-win32/files/

PS: I am running the latest beta 1.9.0.7 and AnyDVD (latest as well).

I know how to complete the MP4 file!

When your system is hung at 99%, hit CTR-ALT-DEL, go to Processes tab, mencoder.exe will be running at about 13% cpu (depending on your rig). Select it and hit end process. This closes the MP4 file!!! All is well with the final file!8)

CloneDVD mobile freezing at 56%

I just downloaded the 21 day trial, and so far I'm 1-for-2... not exactly the kind of results that make me want to spend for extended rights to use the program.

The second DVD I've tried to save as an mp4 is freezing at 56% (repeatedly). I read through this thread and tried setting the compatibility, allowing "exclusions" in my antivirus software, and ending the mencoder.exe process... none of these approaches has improved my results.

I also tried using the AnyDVD Ripper to 'Rip Video DVD to Harddisk' (which worked perfectly) and then use CloneDVD mobile to create an mp4 file from the new file on my harddisk instead of directly from the DVD... again, no joy.

I'm running CloneDVD mobile 1.9.0.1 with Windows 7 SP1 (64-bit).
I tried reverting to the earlier version of CloneDVD as well (link posted by Frank)... no luck with that either.

Has anyone found a solution?

Added: Tried again with another disc... failure at 56% with that one as well. This just seems odd.

Providing CloneDVD mobiles transcoder log may also prove helpful for them too.

The transcoder log button would not work after the program froze. I did get a popup error message and kept a screenshot, but got an error message when I tried to upload it here along with the AnyDVD log.

I did send a message to tech support as well, and am waiting to hear back from them... just thought maybe someone on the forums would have additional insight to share in the meantime.

I tried AnyDVD and CloneDVD mobile several times and everything worked like a charm converting my DVDs to mp4.

I purchased both softwares last night because my trial period ran out and now clonedvd hangs on 99%.

I tried as suggested earlier, going to the task manager and killing mencoder.exe. The software indicated it was complete but the mp4 is unplayable.

I also sent a message to through the contact for the software. No response yet.

Don't waste your time and money on this program, go download Handbrake for free. It works infinitely better than Clone DVD Mobile. I don't think I've ever successfully ripped a movie with this software and I paid for it! Handbrake always works great for me!

Well did you EVER issue a support ticket or post on the forum whenever you had an issue?

I was having this same problem. I tried the compatibility mode changes with no success. I'm using AnyDVD 7.6.9.0 and CloneMobile 1.9.2.0. on Windows 10. Ultimately I found that if I ended the "Dispatcher for LibAV transcoding (32-bit)" task in Task Manager after CloneMobile stalled at 99%, the progress finished and yielded working MP4s.

I wrote this script that seems to work for me, although it hasn't happened in some time:
taskkill /IM mencoder.exe /f

Same here. Running through smoothly with your workaround.

Thanks for the hint.

AnyDVD v8.0.2.0
CloneDVD mobile v 1.9.5.0

I know how to complete the MP4 file!

When your system is hung at 99%, hit CTR-ALT-DEL, go to Processes tab, mencoder.exe will be running at about 13% cpu (depending on your rig). Select it and hit end process. This closes the MP4 file!!! All is well with the final file!8)
Worked like a charm for me too! In Windows 10, mencoder was in the 'details' tab. I like this fix. Thanks!
