Boardwalk Empire S01 BD50 Disc 2 of 5

Hi,

having a little trouble here trying to copy Boardwalk Empire S01 BD50 Disc 2 of 5.
I have tried 3 different commercial discs (two from netflix) and I still get the same exact results:

Keep getting read errors, all other work - just this one will not

My guess it's the manufacturer, but on three different discs and same sectors?

I have a PIONEER BDXL BD-RW BDR-2209 (windows reports it as a BDR-209M SCSI)

Anybody have any clues or suggestions?

You need to post a logfile from the original disc.
If you get read errors on a Blu-ray then it's always a faulty/dirty disc or failing drive, only thing you can try to do is either clean the disc or replace it. If you get the read error in exactly the same place on multiple copies then it's a manufacturing issue, nothing new about that, and not much you can do about it other than either ask for a replacement until you get a working one, or try and find out exactly which file is faulty. If you are lucky it may be a trailer which you might be able to either leave out or make a copy of one of the other trailers and rename the copy to match the broken file

Yes the errors do indeed involve the same sectors, so it appears to be a manufacturing error as I suspected. Thanks for confirming that. Unfortunately of few of the tracks are two episodes, so I guess I'm gonna address the issue with the manufacturer next. Although it's probably a good idea not to explain too much in detail such as the errors I get while trying to rip it with AnyDVD HD
