I get a memcode error everytime I try to convert a video to Ipod video 5 or any other type of video file for that matter. I only have 4 days left on my trial period. If I could get this to work as good as clonedvd2 and anydvd I would purchase it but its kinda let me down so far. I have tried uninstalling the software, switching computers, different dvds, different dvd drives etc but no luck. Anyone help?

I recently updated to the latest version of AnyDVD and am getting this same error. I was using a version that was about three versions earlier than the current release. That version was working fine. The error message pop up notes that the FPS rate has changed in the middle of the conversion process.

Also, I am using Clone DVD Mobile and converting to a DivX format. My previous version of the AnyDVD software was 6.1.3.0

Is there a way to roll back to a previous version of AnyDVD?

One more thing

One correction. The error is with mencoder.exe I'm not 100% sure that this is the same error noted above. The error details are below. Any help is appreciated.

File 2 "C:\SlySoft\CloneDVDmobile\apps\mencoder.exe" - -ffourcc DIVX -af volume=0 -aspect 4:3 -of avi -noodml -oac lavc -ovc lavc -lavcopts vcodec=mpeg4:acodec=mp3:vbitrate=769:abitrate=128 -vf scale=480:360,harddup -info name="FARSCAPE_V5" -ofps 24000/1001 -o "C:\DVDMovie\1-9 DNA Mad Scientist.avi" 109 TCE

Encoder output:

Warning! FPS changed 23.976 -> 29.970 (-5.994005) [4]

Are you sure you copied the whole message here (nothing left to scroll down ?).

Because that's only a warning message, that would not make mencoder quit.

I'd need the actual error, you're referring to. Otherwise there is no way, I could try to help.

More Detail

I am able to process about 73% of the video and the CloneDVD Mobile software stops and a windows pop up with a message stating a problem with mencoder.exe. When I close the widows pop up message, I receive another pop up message from Clone DVD mobile.

Additional information at the bottom of the CloneDVD mobile pop up was:
The pipe has been ended.
An encoding error has occurred

FYI: I have been able to completely copy other files from this same DVD. This is a repeatable error.

Any Ideas?

I hope I have supplied enough information. Are there any settings changes that I could try that might help?

That looks disgusting, I'll try to find out, what that message wants to tell us.

In the meantime, could you try and find out, if it works when you select a different audio track? I'd like to know, if it is an error in the source audio causing this.
Thanks!

Has a fix been found for this mencoder problem in CloneDVD Mobile 1.1.5.4. I too am having problems. When I try to encode a DVD the program gets hung up. I then need to go into Vista's Task Manager and manually stop the mancoder.exe process. I then have this error message pop up:

File 2 "C:\Program Files\SlySoft\CloneDVDmobile\apps\mencoder.exe" - -af volume=10 -aspect 16:9 -of lavf -lavfopts format=mp4 -oac lavc -ovc lavc -lavcopts aglobal=1:vglobal=1:vcodec=mpeg4:acodec=libfaac:vbitrate=692:abitrate=128 -vf pp=fd,scale=426:240,harddup -info name="XXXX_C01" -ofps 30000/1001 -o "C:\Users\Darren & Kim\Videos\iPod Movies\XXXX_C01.mp4" 109 TCE

Encoder output:

The message also states:

The pipe has been ended.

An encoding error has occured.

I have been able to encode a number of DVD's in the past on my computer with out problem. I have attempted to change settings, DVD's, reinstalled 1.1.5.4 and reinstalled version 1.1.4.1 with out success?

Can someone please help me out? It would be a shame to throw away the money I've invested in this program.

More on similar error

I get a similar error.

This is the error message I get when trying to rip one (TV) episode from a DVD:

Encoder output:

Try appending the scale filter to your filter list,
e.g. -vf spp, scale instead of -vf spp.
a52: error at resampling

Warning! FPS changed 23.976 -> 29.970 (-5.994005) [4]
Too many audio packets in the buffer: (4096 in 8257056 bytes).
Too many audio packets in the buffer: (4096 in 8257056 bytes).

The error always occurs at exactly the same spot in the rip process. I think it has something to do with the audio track selected - this error does not occur if a different audio track is selected.

The other episodes from the same DVD (and the other DVDs in the set) all rip successfully. This is the only error I have encountered in over a hundred of DVDs ripped.

Any suggestions to clear this up?

I have uninstalled and re-installed both AnyDVD and CloneDVDMobile - I don't think it is something in my computer or the configuration.

Thanks for any help you can provide.
