Recently installed GameJackal Trial to try it out. However, I'm getting many errors including: skin default module access error (module access violation) in AcLayers.dll. Also can't access any help, purchase and other modules. Have deinstalled and reinstalled Jackal software a number of times but that doesn't help. It appears that some modules are being left in the system and are not being reloaded. I really would like to purchase this software if I can get it to work correctly. I am running Norton 360-4 protection.

I just tried a new install with all of Norton disabled and got the same results as above. My system is an Intel tower with 2 Gbytes of memory and 2-250Gb hard drives. I'm running Windows XP Professional - SR3.

That's all very odd. Not sure what "AcLayers.dll" is, but it's not a Game Jackal file. Are you installing to the default directory?

Won't work in default folders

I had to install GameJackel in C:\Slysoft\GameJackel for it to work at all. However, I still can't use most of the help options. I even purchased game Jackal but that didn't help.:bang:

This is because on an issue with v4.1.1.1 which has been fixed for the next release.

aclayers.dll is the application compatability layer module, typically found in windows\apppatch folder in vista and probably higher, for older os'es it'll be in the windows\system32 folder, it applies the application shims to adjust the windows version reported etc..
