Safe for everyone to try (trial is allowed for this beta).
Users of 3rd party software (e.g., 1-click dvd copy, Pinnacle Instant copy) may need to enable "aggressive I/O mode" in AnyDVD settings -> program settings.
Please report back (post a logfile) if a particular software requires "aggressive I/O mode" to be enabled.

Thank you for testing!

6.6.1.1 2009 12 31
* New (HD DVD & Blu-ray): Updated decryption keys
- New (Blu-ray): Added support for new BD+ protections
* New: Added more info to logfile
- New: Information window while AnyDVD is scanning discs
- New: Option to enable / disable this window
* New: Workaround for problems with some VMs and certain drives
* New: Create logfiles for empty drives
- Change: Replaced AnyDVD "Safe Mode" with "Agressive I/O Mode".
- Note: Agressive I/O mode is disabled by default. It might be required with some 3rd party software.
Please report which programs require it. Thank you!
* Some minor fixes and improvements
* Updated languages

Are you saying you do *not* need to enable "aggressive I/O mode" with 1-click?
And 1-click doesn't complain that discs are protected?

What version is this? Please so kind to post a logfile created with AnyDVD 6.6.1.1 (from an empty drive is ok).

Very good job, thank you.
But the serial numbers of the software (PowerDVD for exemple) is not really necessary to include them in the log. Users will not appreciate that in my opinion. What do you think?

Or, should i ask logs by mp, right?

The serial number is not in the log (even if it is called "serial number").

@James

In the sysinfo :

PowerDVD 8 Version:
SR_No: DVDxxxxxxxxxx

I was talking about this ;)

I know. It is not the user's key or serial, if that is what you were thinking.

I don't own PowerDVD, but as long as you can't use that serial to activate PowerDVD, it's okay.

or are wicked forum users already downloading logfiles hoping to get PowerDVD serials? :D

Sorry, i wrote that because i think like a classic customer which saw his/her powerdvd key in the log file. No worries then, i misread the log.

And having all players in the log file is a very good idea.

thank's for your work ;)

Am I correct that this serial is pretty useless?
The real serial or activation code must be another one, I suppose.

Yes you are correct.
But the OP is also correct in stating that the "unwashed masses" will think otherwise and whine - creating more silly posts to deal with. It's really for the best to call it a Ver.# in the log - even if that's a misnomer - just to head off the inevitable complaints. (look how fast the 1st one came in!)

And please allow me to be the first to post an empty drive logfile! -W

yes you are right, the key is another.

@clams

Good idea to name it otherwise, it will avoid unnecessary complaints.

Sorry for this, but in reality it may be constructive ;)

Noticed a couple of interesting things in the log file

0.03s: Drive: R:, disabled: 0, don't touch: 0
0.03s: medium state: 2
0.03s: ready
0.03s: busy
0.06s: Drive R: locked, result 1, took 0 seconds!

Never seen "dont touch" and by this PID: 672: YahooAUService.exe your based in Australia or use Aus Yahoo Messenger :)

YahooAUService.exe = Yahoo! AutoUpdater

.... enter GameBooster ;)

I have no errors with CloneDVD2 / CloneCD
- "aggressive I/O mode" enabled
- or not
Only when opening the disc into 1Click
There is No Issue with 1Click when "aggressive I/O mode" is enabled

:)

Um; have a new issue, only with this version.
I'd post a log but...

Suddenly I can't rip anything. I've now tried 3 DVDs, all R:1 without any funky DRM. All freeze up at 15%.
It's a fatal error at that point and I have to CAD and shut down the entire tree by force to get it to release.
Maybe I'm missing something. If I can figure out how to extract a log that's meaningful; I'll do so shortly.

Rip ... how?

CAD? Shut down what tree? :confused:

By CAD he means CTRL-ALT-DEL, shortcut to windows task manager,
and by tree, he means ending the process tree, which terminates AnyDVD and any processes started by it. ;)

James I just love the new - New: Information window while AnyDVD is scanning discs. That's a nice addition to have indeed.

true, though it maybe redundant. Cause now we've got 2 boxes. The new window and the tray balloon. A unicycle only has 1 wheel so as they say: "one of em's gotta go" :p
