If a player will read DVD-R DL will it also read +R DL DVD's?

I have a PS3 and a HD-A2 all the specs I have found on the HD-A2 list DVD-R DL and I have not found anything saying the PS3 can read DL DVD's at all so far.

OK I was going to get some DVD-R DL disks for the HD-A2 but nobody in town has any. Best Buy, Circuit City, Office Max, Office Depot and WalMart, none of them have any. They all have DVD+R DL though (Well not sure about walmart).

Anyone know?

Yes, provided you change the booktype to "dvd-rom" before burning.

dvd-r DL is a useless format

That's what you should be using.

Buy Verbatim +R DL (preferably made in Singapore) or MAM-A +R DL 8x only.
Everything else is pretty much junk (much of it rebadged Ritek junk)

Thanks for the info Webslinger, I got the Verbatim (singapore).

I wish these things would drop in price more, I would think by now they would have.
