Based on what I've read from the other posts, I hope I've provided enough information to anyone willing to offer some help with this issue. Please let me know what I've missed.
Uploaded is the Log File from AnyDVD, and a screen shot of the error message from CloneDVD.
The version of AnyDVD is: 6.4.0.0
The version of Clone DVD is: 2.9.1.5
The drive is Lite On: DVDRW SHM-165H6S LS RETAIL 16x8x16 ATAPI/E-IDE 2MB 160ms
After using everything sucessfully on single layer disks, the issue is that now my client is trying to burn onto Dual Layer disks, and has gotten a bad media error - as shown in the screen shot attached for the first three disks from a cake box of Memorex DVD+RDL disks. I don't think the media is actually bad, but something's not communicating somewhere, and I don't know where the breakdown is.
The burner was purchased and installed December of 2006, into a new Windows XP SP2 computer. There is a firmware update from Lite On from September of 2006, which I've downloaded but not yet installed. I suspect, based on what I've read that the firmware update might allow the dual layer disks to be burned, but I've never upgraded firmware on a burner, and want to make sure before I try that, that there isn't another possiblity I've overlooked.
When burning, the client starts from a fresh boot, with no other programs running, including other TSR's, only AnyDVD and CloneDVD.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
