I am using the current versions of Anydvd and Clonedvd. Recently, when backing up discs, the first copy will not play in any of my dvd players. The burn goes through perfectly with no errors but the disc is unplayable. If I then put in another blank disc and push write, the second disc goes through the same burn process and will play perfectly.
I'm not using the greatest blank discs in the world but it has happened with two different types of blank media. If the discs were defective why would the second disc always be ok and the first one unplayable?
Another [Related?] question. I am getting small circles on my discs where it appears that the movie did not burn properly. Most of the time they appear about one-half of an inch from the outside of the disc. Lately I have seen a couple at the middle of the disc. I thought that it might be a layer break issue but why they are appearing in the middle of the back up disc suddenly is a mystery. When playing the discs, they will sometimes freeze up at the point where the circle appears. I accept that this might be because of cheap media but does anyone know for sure? I doubt that I am the first person who this has happened to.
Thanks for any help.
