Is there a way to get around this error and rip a DVD? It is not encription on the disc but an error message.

AnyStream is having some DRM issues currently, Netflix is not available in HD for the time being.

CRC errors
It depends. Cyclic Redundancy Check, or more often called just CRC, is often used to denote either a function's output, in the case of a READ used as a checksum to detect alteration of data during transmission or writing to a new area. Consider this a form of data integrity check used to guarantee that what was read gets written, in this case what comes off the DVD matches what gets written to the hard drive.
The best way to explain this is in a symbolic way. You're in a restaurant and the waiter comes and pours you a glass of water and walks away. This is an equivalent to "PLAY".
The same waiter comes back, sets a scale on the table and weighs the pitcher and empty glass. He fills it, weighs it again, weighs his pitcher, takes out a calculator and determines what is missing in his pitcher is exactly what is in your glass. This is equivalent to a READ/WRITE cycle.
AnyDVD offers a "rip video ...." option (right mouse the fox) which will attempt to slide the tolerances a little in an attempt to get the data off the DVD.
This is not an exact science and your results may vary - all depends on the degree of error, your drive, etc.
The bottom line here is there are limits to the error window when you move data from one place to another and if these CRC errors were ignored you'd have a successful "move" but an unusable copy.

CRC errors are most commonly a result of dirty or damaged discs. You can try cleaning the disc with isopropyl alcohol or dish detergent and hot water. Most video rental stores will buff discs at no charge.

CRC errors can result from a number of different issues. The most common one is a bad original disc. However if there is structural protection on the disc that Anydvd can't handle you will also get that error message. You may also receive that error message if you have a bunch of drivers listed in your filter stack that interfere with Anydvd. You really haven't told us enough to fully determine whether this issue is a bad original disc issue.
"1) DVD media is dirty - you can try to clean it
2) DVD media is damaged, you have to replace it
3) Your drive is a region locked rpc2 drive, which does not allow reading of scrambled sectors from a different region and try to read a DVD from a different region.
You can try to find a rpc1 patched firmware at www.rpc1.com
4) Your drive is an rpc2 drive that has not yet been assigned a region. try to assign one, or try to find a rpc1 patched firmware"
I would add, "5) You may have junk on your system that is interfering with Anydvd
and
6) There is structural protection on this disc that Anydvd can't handle (post the Anydvd .zip file)"
So, do the following:
A. a) Ensure Anydvd is running.
b) Put the problematic original disc in your optical drive/reader. Wait for Anydvd to scan the disc.
c) Right click the red fox icon on your toolbar.
d) Select "Create Logfile"
e) Wait for Anydvd to create a log file.
f) A pop-up screen will appear. Take note of the location where Anydvd created the logfile and the logfile's name. Click "ok".
g) Go to your My Documents folder
h) You will see a zip file called "Anydvd_Info_titleofmydisc.zip" (or something similar; see step f)
i) When replying or posting in the Slysoft forums, look for the icon that looks like
j) If you don't see that paperclip icon, click the "go advanced" button. You should see that icon now. Click the paperclip.
k) A small pop-up screen should appear (if it doesn't please ensure your browser is enabled to allow pop-ups from the Slysoft forums)
l) Click the "Browse" button, and locate and select the .zip file you created.
m) click "upload"
B. State the full a)error message(s) you encountered (click "details"), b)tell us what program(s) you were using when you received the error message(s), and c) describe in detail what you were doing when you received the error message(s). What problem are you having exactly?
