I upgraded from Anydvd 6.0.9.5 to 6.1.0.0
When the upgrade finished, the system asked me to instal a DVD drive.
I rebooted the system....that didn't help.
I did a "Restore Point" w/Windows XP Pro.......that didn't help.
I did a "Repair Instal" of Windows XP Pro.......that didn't help.
Finally, I had to do a complete Windows XP Pro install....finally that worked.
I also had to reinstall every program & patch to get my system working properly again.
I'm afraid to reinstall Anydvd.
Any suggestions??

Yes, update again... you are 13 versions behind.

DVD Drives Went Missing..........

I updated to the most current version (at the time)when this happened.............
I don't want to reinstall until I find out what happened.
I don't want to spend another weekend reloading all of my software.
Do you know why this might have happened?

I have seen that happen before but the drives would usually show up when a disc is inserted. If it should happen again, go into Device manager, unistall the drives, reboot and Windows should find them.

DVD Drives Went Missing...............

I actually tried that first and it didn't work.
I would hate to have to stop using the software but I'm really paranoid about having to reinstall windows every time the s/w hiccups.............

I also had this happen to me, but I found the solution. Make a new user in CP with full admin rights. Reboot and enter Windows as the new user. The drives come back! In my case the ANYDVD upgrade messed with my rights to the DVD drive. That fixed the problem.
