Some fixes & improvements from the previous beta, Mr. Woodcock should work now as it did with 6309, added support for SAW IV US (both fixes untested, I don't have the discs yet).

6.3.1.1 2008 01 22
- New: Added "Create Logfile" menu, removed "enable logging" from settings
- New: Autoplay is no longer triggered, if settings are changed or AnyDVD is
disabled / enabled.
- New (DVD): Added hooking of the IDvdInfo2::GetDiscID interface. All 32-bit
applications which use DiscIDs will retrieve the correct DiscID, even if
AnyDVD is running (e.g., Windows MCE 2005, Windows Media Player, Invelos
DVD Profiler, MyMovies, etc.)
Note: This feature might not work correctly with X-Protect or other heavily
corrupted discs. Blame the manufacturer of the disc....
This feature is currently only supported for 32-bit applications.
- New (DVD): AI Scanner has now different settings, "Disabled", Automatic" or
"Enabled"
- New (DVD): Added support for new protection, e.g., "Saw IV", R1, US
- New (DVD): Added support for new protection, e.g., "Mr. Woodcock", R1, US
- New (DVD): Added support for new copy protection, e.g. "Paheli", R2,
Germany
- New (DVD): Added support for new copy protection, e.g. "Whisper", R2,
Germany
- New (DVD): Added support for new copy protection found on some adult
titles to the AnyDVD ripper
- New (DVD): Improved performance of the AI scanner.
- Fix (DVD): Problems with "Shoot 'Em Up", R1, US
- Fix (DVD): AnyDVD ripper removed parts of the Audio Test of
"Ratatouille", R1, US.
- Fix (DVD): AI Scanner missed one chapter of the full frame version on
"Fun with Dick and Jane (2005)", R1, US
- Fix (DVD): IFOTitles 2 error with some Macrovision RipGuard protected
titles, e.g. "Funny Factory with Mickey - Volume 1", R1, US
- Some minor fixes and improvements
- Updated languages

Movies that may not work properly with Anydvd 6.3.1.1

Thank you James :)

Update works on Saw iv unrated and clonedvd2 2.9.1.5 as there was no disc errors. :D

Any particular reason you changed the name of the executable from AnyDVD.exe to AnyDVDTray.exe?

No problem...just noticed it when looking through my registry. Maybe it changed in 6.3.0.10...

works fine on the Unrated version using Anydvd ripper,Anydvd with Clonedvd 2.9.1.5. I still can't get this to work with Nero Recode 3.0.3.0 using Anydvd in the background.Must be a bug in Recode because I think the Brackets in the title of the movie causes this.

Anydvd ripper is required for this disc if using Shrink or Recode unless you want skipping audio and other playback issues.

Many unexperienced users erroneously believe that just because they can import a disc with Anydvd running in the background that the output from Shrink or Recode will be perfectly fine. They are mistaken; quite often audio and other playback issues will result unless the disc is ripped first using Anydvd ripper. This is the case with some heavily protected discs--and I would expect what I wrote to be the case with this one. There are numerous cases of people writing, "Oh yeah, the disc imported fine into Shrink with Anydvd running in the background." But until they play their backup (or the rip from Shrink on their computer), they won't notice problems. And of course, these same unexperienced people are simply doing movie only backups (include the menus, trailers, and everything else--and then you will likely experience problems when you test your Shrink or Recode produced backup).

But this issue with Recode has nothing to do with brackets.

Oh yeah forgot to mention that I didn't have to Untick Title 25 in Clonedvd 2.9.1.5 for this movie to work.

I know but still won't work with Recode no matter what I do.I have ripped files to HD using Anydvd ripper and still can't get this to work in Recode.

Ohhh, that problem. So you tried importing the rip files into Recode, right?

The rip works in Shrink, right?

Yes, the reason is because DVDProfiler "blacklisted" AnyDVD.exe, because AnyDVD altered the DiscID values returned from IDvdInfo2::GetDiscID
Now AnyDVD hooks IDvdInfo2::GetDiscID so there is no reason for it to blacklist it in DVDProfiler, and no reason to unblacklist and version check either (no IDvdInfo2::GetDiscID support from AnyDVD.exe, IDvdInfo2::GetDiscID support from AnyDVDtray.exe)

hey James do you know why Saw IV hangs in Recode 3.0.3.0 by and chance?

I know you're busy but any info if possible would be great because it seems like it only happens with movies that have brackets in the title.

No sorry, no idea. But if you import the output of CloneDVD or AnyDVD ripper to recode, the volume label cannot affect Recode (it is not stored in the files).

Thanks!

I have imported the files from Anydvd ripper and Clonedvd to Recode and it still won't work.Recode hangs forever.

So, it doesn't have anything to do with the volume name. Sorry, no idea....
