I'm sorry if this has already been discussed, but I tried searching the posts and browsing the anydvd threads and no luck in finding my problem.
I just got an inspiron 1720 with a cd/dvd burner and decided to actually BUY slysoft anydvd because I was tired of messing with the trials and wanted to get it before a price hike.
anyways - I viewed a couple of movies over the holidays and then tried backing up one that I had gotten successfully with clonedvd - but then after it was burnt - the drive was gone - undetectable and I would insert whatever and it wouldn't recognize it.
so, since I was still well under warranty with dell, they assisted me remotely and fixed it in front of my eyes - but I noticed that they changed something with anydvd in order to do it.
then anydvd was disabled - so I uninstalled, restarted, re-installed, restarted and it worked again - I had a drive. then I tried again with another movie I wanted to back up and this time it read and ripped, but when clonedvd told me to insert a writeable disc - it wouldn't read a thing again.
so is there a glitch or update for vista or for anydvd that can fix this problem?
still don't have a drive cuz I haven't contacted dell again yet.
I hope I explained everything thoroughly.
