Will AnyDVD process a DRM WMV file? Or is it limited to the physical DVD drive?
There are some services it handles can't really remember which ones to be honest. Take a look at the change logs.

No. It won't.
Are there any Slysoft products that will backup a purchased and downloaded movie file? I've had too many hard drives go bad so I like to make backups of everything.
I believe CloneDVD can, if it is in an acceptable format.
What brand of HDD's are you having failure problems with?

Usually paid downloaded movies service has their own burning program to burn what you just downloaded.
