i downloaded a anydvd and clonedvd2 a couple of days ago.
these last days i tried to copy several films.
none of them can be played properly on either my or a friends dvd player or on my pc.
some of them start as they are supposed to, play a cuple of minutes ok, then start to disturb and finally totally stop. others start with difficulties, play ok and then stop and one doesn't do anything at all (and when i put it in the pc any dvd tell me that it might be broken dvd...).
the same happens when i use power2go.

what do i do wrong??
how can i make it work?

thanks for all help!

please give details of the brand of blank dvd discs you are using.
try burning at half the recommended speed of that quoted on the blank dvd media (if they're rated x8,then burn at x4).
personally i burn at x2 regardless.

Update to AnyDVD 6.3.0.3 and make sure you have installed CloneDVD 2.9.1.2. Also make sure you downloaded the .exe-files from http://www.slysoft.com (or http://www.elby.ch).

Could you state some titles?

It is difficult to say, because a good copy depends on various factors, for example it is not recommended to burn with max. speed (if you have a DVD+R double layer and it tells you up to 8x then burn with 4x), use good quality blank media (for example Verbatim, those Made in Singapore)...

I recommend you to read this:

Check out this link below for "Rush Hour 3" and trouble a member had here at the Slyforum. I posted some major release DVD titles that I've backed up a day or two ago...with AnyDVD 6.3.0.0 & CloneDVD 2.9.1.2 and as mentioned there without any problem. Some of the titles future and current have some of the tougher encryptions on them. Still no trouble. Use good media as mentioned VERBATIM's or SONY found almost anywhere retail. I saved the most recent update of AnyDVD but I didn't run the latest version as of yet. AnyDVD 6.3.0.0 is still doing it's do.:agree:

.
how can i make it work?

This thread belongs in the Clonedvd forum, as this issue has nothing to do with Anydvd. I will move this thread to the proper forum.

from Frequently Asked Questions (READ BEFORE YOU POST)

6. Why are my backups freezing, hanging, skipping, or showing a blocky pixellated mess during playback?

1. Update your burner's firmware (if available)
http://forum.slysoft.com/showpost.php?p=12794&postcount=10

2. Use good quality media (Memorex, Ritek, Princo, Fuji, TDK from Costco, and Maxell that are not made in Japan are not good quality media). Are you using inferior blank media? If you're not using Taiyo Yuden Premium, Verbatim, Maxell Plus, or Maxell Broadcast Quality, then chances are the answer is yes.
If you use poor quality blank media, then you should expect problems.

and
http://www.redflagdeals.com/forums/showthread.php?p=3976250

3. Try lowering your burn speed (not below 4x; if you have a 16x burner and 16x rated media try writing to it at 12x instead of 16x; an 8x burn speed on 16x rated media wouldn't be a bad idea either)

4. If you're using +R, +RW, or +R DL media, change the booktype to "dvd-rom"
http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=476 (step 3)

5. Avoid sticker labels (they tend to cause problems)

6. Try setting a custom size of 4300 in Clonedvd (but if you're using good media, you shouldn't have to) if you're using regular single layer dvd-5 (4.7GB) discs.

7. Download Nero cd-dvd speed. It's a free program. Select the tab labeled "scandisc". Insert the problematic backup disc, select the appropriate drive letter, and click "start". If Nero cd-dvd speed reports read errors, your backup is bad (which is the most likely case), your optical drive may be slowly dying, or your optical drive simply doesn't like the disc (or your choice of blank media)--even if the disc looks fine.

Bad burn quality is notorious around the end of discs (see step 6)
and also at layer breaks when using low quality DL media (use Verbatim +R DL media made in Singapore, and change the booktype to "dvd-rom")

Also, check the preview screen in Clonedvd to ensure you're backing up the proper title.
