I've got a 19" wide screen that has "DVI with HDCP".

So that means, along with my 2600XT, all I need for HD playback is a new drive and PowerDVD 7 ?

Is it time to go out and buy the AnyDVD HD upgrade?

Anyone out there with a similar set up building toward HD?

Yes. XBOX360 HD DVD drive is highly recommended.

Not required for this setup, but *highly* recommended for many reasons.

The LG GGC-H20L appears to be an excellant drive for the movies I've used it on. It plays both Blu-Ray and HD-DVD movies. I paid $270 for it.

Thanks I'll keep an eye on it but for now I'm just adding one piece of the puzzle at a time.
I don't think I'll be buying a dual drive till the price drops further.
