LG GSA-H62L PAL/NTSC capability?

I am located in Canada and would like to purchase a DVD of a movie "Two of Hearts" that -- strangely enough -- was filmed here, but only seems to be available for sale in Australia. Canada is NTSC Region1 while Australia appears to be PAL Region 4.

I have an LG-H62L DVD writer and a Samsung SyncMaster 206BW monitor and am wondering if I purchase this DVD, would I be able to:

1) play and view it on my computer and
2) using AnyDVD with Clone CD or CloneDVD2, back it up to a disc that would play on my standalone DVD players, none of which can play PAL discs ?

Most players have a secret menu which allows tem to play pal. A search of your model with secret menu region free should give you a hit with instructions.
