Has anyone had any luck copying this title yet? I have tried DVDFAB and no luck!
 
1. Update to Anydvd 6.2.0.2 beta


2) a)Click the red fox icon on your toolbar.
b) Navigate to "Program Settings".
c) Click "enable logging".
d) Click "ok".
e) Put the problematic disc in your optical drive/reader.
f) Go to your My Documents folder
g) You will see a zip file called "Anydvd_Info_titleofmydisc.zip"
h) When replying or posting in the Slysoft forums, look for the icon that looks like
attach.gif

i) if you don't see that icon, click the "go advanced" button. You should see that icon now. Click the paperclip.
j) a small pop-up screen should appear (if it doesn't please ensure your browser is enabled to allow pop-ups from the Slysoft forums)
k) click the "Browse" button, and locate and select the .zip file you created.
l) click "upload"

3) State the full a)error message(s) you encountered, b)tell us what program(s) you were using when you received the error message(s), and c) describe in detail what you were doing when you received the error message(s). What problem are you having exactly?

I backed this title up a few days ago using the last AnyDVD update 6.1.9.3 & CloneDVD 2.9.1.2 :agree:Since then I've backed up POTC 3 "Worlds End" :agree:which has Disney releases slew of encryption, this title also backed with the previous AnyDVD update mentioned. I recently began to notice that heavily encrypted titles will pose a real challenge to worn DVD back up drives, i.e. equipment errors and back up failure.:doh: Make your drives are in full working order.:agree:

I have found that ther is a bad batch of The title Stir Of Echoes---some of these discs will play with various degrees of success but will not copy !

Well, that's pretty simple to test for.

Download Nero cd-dvd speed. It's a free program. With Anydvd running in the background, select the tab labeled "scandisc". Select the appropriate drive letter, and click "start". If Nero cd-dvd speed reports read errors, your disc is (probably) bad and needs to be exchanged--even if it plays fine (or your optical drive could be slowly dying).
 
Final Answer?

So what is the final answer on Stir Of Echoes 2?

I got it to copy....sorta....it copies with DVD Shrink, but when I attempt to burn using Nero, it tells me the allocation is incorrect and may not play properly. When I copy anyway, it copies it as a file and not an actual DVD, almost as if I had copied photos onto a DVD. When I play the files, the Menu is a part of the movie and the movie itself appears "zoomed in".

So again, What is the final answer?
Will this work better if I rip to my hard drive using any DVD?

Update to 6.2.0.2 beta, and use Anydvd ripper first (right click red fox icon on your toolbar-->select "rip video-dvd to harddisk")

Then import that rip into Shrink
 
I purchased Stir Of Echoes three times---The first two times I tested with Nero cd-DVD and It came up with errors each time--the third time was the charm---I think there are a few bad copies out there and we probably have not herd the last of them
 
I was able to run through Stir of Echoes 2 with no difficulty. I used 6200 and clone 2912
