Sorry if Im not posting this correctly. This is the first 'post' ive made, ever.
I am having trouble backing up some of my movies.
Im a teacher and regularly get movies 'stolen' so i cant take my real copies to schools, ever.

I have a new 'liteon' with atapi-interface, whatever that means.

I have no trouble with data or music using my old clone cd program.

I have never had any trouble with cloneDVD2 before either.

Now, more than fifty percent of the discs I burn dont. I get an error message saying 'bad write media'.

from Frequently Asked Questions (READ BEFORE YOU POST)

9. I'm getting Writedvd 10 11 W2 errors. Why?

a) Are you using junk blank media? If you're not using Taiyo Yuden (8x) premium, Verbatim, Maxell Plus, or Maxell Broadcast Quality, then chances are the answer to this question is "yes". Stay far away from Memorex, Princo, Ritek, regular Maxell, Fuji, etc. that are not made in Japan.
b) Click this and read FULLY (because the same advice applies)
c) Do you have Musicmatch Jukebox on your system? If so, click this
d) Remove packet writing software from your system (including Directcd, Incd, drag to disc, DLA, etc.)
e) Click this and read
f) Do steps 3 and 4 from here (note that step 4 requires you to post information, and this step could be the most helpful in getting your situation resolved)

I did read the forums. What I could understand anyway. I burn at 8X. I dont know whether my burner is a - or a +.

I have been using LG discs. Thought they were a reasonable brand. Harvey Normans here in oz tell me they sell thousands and Im the only one with a problem!!!

1) a)Click the red fox icon on your toolbar.
b) Navigate to "Program Settings".
c) Click "enable logging".
d) Click "ok".
e) Put the original disc in your burner.
f) Go to your My Documents folder
g) You will see a zip file called "Anydvd_Info_titleofmydisc.zip"
h) When replying or posting in the Slysoft forums, look for the icon that looks like
attach.gif

i) if you don't see that icon, click the "go advanced" button. You should see that icon now. Click the paperclip.
j) a small pop-up screen should appear (if it doesn't please ensure your browser is enabled to allow pop-ups from the Slysoft forums)
k) click the "Browse" button, and locate and select the .zip file you created.
l) click "upload"

That's not terribly useful information, and whoever told you that nonsense was probably a salesman. LG doesn't make their own blank media. They use other companies' blank media, and resell it under their label (Verbatim also does this, but Verbatim's blank media tends to be held to higher standards). LG's blank media isn't always terrible, but you should use either use Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim (I tend to avoid Verbatim that's made in India, but even Verbatim that's made in India is better than most).

You need to click the links I posted in my previous post and read fully.

If you don't understand something, you need to explain what you don't understand.
