it says there is an error. Does anyone else have this problem? I am using AnyDVD 6.1.9.5 beta with Clone DVD2. It has an error within seconds of starting.
Thanks!

1 ) State the full a)error message(s) you encountered, b)tell us what program(s) you were using when you received the error message(s), and c) describe in detail what you were doing when you received the error message(s).

2) a)Click the red fox icon on your toolbar.
b) Navigate to "Program Settings".
c) Click "enable logging".
d) Click "ok".
e) Put the problematic disc in your optical drive/reader.
f) Go to your My Documents folder
g) You will see a zip file called "Anydvd_Info_titleofmydisc.zip"
h) When replying or posting in the Slysoft forums, look for the icon that looks like
attach.gif

i) if you don't see that icon, click the "go advanced" button. You should see that icon now. Click the paperclip.
j) a small pop-up screen should appear (if it doesn't please ensure your browser is enabled to allow pop-ups from the Slysoft forums)
k) click the "Browse" button, and locate and select the .zip file you created.
l) click "upload"

I was using the new anydvd with clonedvd2. The error is: File 1 D:/VIDEO_TS/VTS_04_5.VOB 23 TCSectorReader. It also says: Data Error (cyclic redundency check)

Download Nero cd-dvd speed. It's a free program. With Anydvd running in the background, select the tab labeled "scandisc". Select the appropriate drive letter, and click "start". If Nero cd-dvd speed reports read errors, your disc is (probably) bad and needs to be exchanged--even if it plays fine (or your optical drive could be slowly dying).

There's nothing interesting on this disc in terms of protection.

ok, its running now but on the right where it says surface scan, it already is 98 percent on bad and 2 percent good and dropping with .1% progress. is it a bad disk then?

I also just copied chuck and larry with no problems, so I dont think its a problem with my Burner.

The original disc is bad. Exchange it.

Ok, will try to take it back to Walmart, hopefully they will exchange it. What should I tell them? Because the disk will play in my DVD player.

I'd tell them that it won't play anyway...My first copy of Transformers played fine, but the disc was scratched and Nero cd/dvd speed reported errors. I took it back to Target and got another based on the principle that I paid for a flawless disc, not a scratched one.

Seems like badly pressed discs are becoming more and more common. Hopefully, with people exchanging them, the studios will start putting more effort into the quality of pressing dvds.

I just bought Chuck and Larry and had to take the disk back because it had something all over it. Its pretty sad when you open a brand new disk and it looks like something you would find in a garbage can.
