After creating a profile, Oblivion continues to ask for the DVD.
I am using Vista (Clean Install 2 days ago)
GameJackel 2.9.18.600 (New Install)
I installed Oblivion and the latest patch file.
I have tried creating the profile by choosing Oblivion in the create a profile list of preset games.
I have tried creating a profile of it by dragging the icon.
I have tried image mode and image mode ultra high scan.
I do not have any virtual drive software installed.
Nothing I try works.
I'm a bit peeved since I already paid for this program and can't get a game that's in the presets and a year old to work with it...
What other information will help in solving this issue?
Let me know and you'll have it.

Thanks

Installed the beta software and re-ran the profiler.
It took 20 mins and it still asks for the DVD.
I'm going to completely uninstall Game Jackal and delete the folders and try it again.

You may want to wait to see what matthew has to say. I'm not a Game Jackal developer. I'm just an end-user like you. So matthew will know way more than I do and can give you better advice.

Thanks, I just uninstall ed Game Jackal and deleted the folder in Program Files and deleted any game jackal registry entry's. I restarted the computer and reinstalled the program into a different drive. Re ran the profiler by dragging the Icon to the program and again it took about 25 mins to complete. I double clicked the Icon in Game Jackal and as usual the pre-game options appear but as soon as you click on Play, it asks for the DVD.

Oh wait, I think you might be profiling the wrong .exe file. Is there an .exe. file that shoots you right into the game without having to click on anything? If so, profile that one.

The only Icon to click on runs the Pre-Game screen. It gives you Options, Data files and also Play. I'm going to try it again using the preset profile in Game Jackal.

Still no luck, I even change it to the Program Oblivion.exe instead of the launcher.exe which is the one installed to the Program Files Start Menu. I used to use a Virtual Drive Program to keep from having to dig the disk out every time. It looks like I'll have to go back to that, it's too bad that I already bought this one.

Thanks anyway

No. Not icon. The actual .exe file in the Oblivion directory. I suspect the problem might be that you're profiling the launcher/menu--and not the actual .exe that starts the game. But maybe I'm mistaken. It's been a long time since I had that game installed on my system. Maybe there is only one .exe file.

But anyway, wait to see what matthew says.

I manually located the oblivion.exe file from the profiler, but I haven't tried to drag the oblivion.exe file yet... I'll give that a try too

Yes Webslinger's right. According to the log files... GJ is deactivating the profile because it can't find the running process. Try using the profile map provided by GJ.

I tried it using the presets in GJ and by dragging every time I reinstalled and updated. I've manually selected the program's exe instead of the launcher.exe.
One thing that bothers me is that it always finds my profiler key after uninstalling and reinstalling automatically.

This is normal.

Ok, once you have created a profile using the profile map. Start the game and post your log files again.

According to this, it's still not finding a process.

Can you post the launcher.log contents.
