Heh, I remember there was a big thread on CDFreaks along the lines of "Can you imagine the insane protection they're going to put on Spiderman 3?"

Looks like the answer is: CSS. :)

I knew it wouldn't be anything too big. The movie is too big for a great, new protection to be loaded on.

Yeah they saved the encryption for "Meet the Robinsons" & "El Cantante":agree::doh:

"Very Nice" Like Borat would say.

I can't wait. I haven't seen Spiderman 3 yet. My wife and kids went to see it on an IMax theater which they said was incredible. I'm looking forward to getting them all on Blu-ray even though James will give me a hard time for buying more Blu-ray discs. :D Nonetheless, it's going to be a great experience in HD.

Yeah yeah, rub it in that you get to watch this stuff in amazing high definition while I'm still watching archaic SD DVDs ;) *curse*

LOL! Go buy a $750 1oz gold coin and stick it in a safety deposit box. Then a year from now when gold is $2000 an oz, go buy a new shiny HDTV. :D Barring that, enjoy the SD versions. GRIN I just want to see the movie as I've yet to do so. My son loved it so hopefully it's good.

I'm waiting to see who wins the war BR or HDDVD, I have to many dvds to switch to soon

I don't advocate rebuying stuff you already own unless there's a HUGE difference AND it's one of your most watched movies. Upscaling DVDs is fine in most cases. Some movies really benefit well from being on HD. Comedies, non-action, etc movies generally don't. I can tell you I WILL rebuy the Star Wars movies when those get released.

As for the war, I'm one of the few who don't believe either side can pull off a win. I think we're stuck with both formats. Get yourself either 2 players or a dual format player and be done with it.

(James will NOT share this opinion with me, I'm quite sure. He hates BD with a passion...and I while I do understand that, I just don't think Sony will ever capitulate)
