Once I start CloneDVD, it gets about 50% done reading and then says bad media. CloneDVD 2.9.1.2 and AnyDVD 6.1.8.4 have also tried AnyDVD 6.1.7.4

Any suggestions

I have fixed the issue for the moment by going back to an older version of clonedvd and anydvd and my backup worked fine

I will have to answer the questions above once I get back from work, as I work a 12 hour shift.

I used clonedvd 2.9.1.2 and anydvd 6.1.7.0 and my back up works fine. I found I had to go back to an older version of anydvd.

You need to do with this with Anydvd 6.1.8.4, and I need a full error message from Clonedvd please.

a)Click the red fox icon on your toolbar.
b) Navigate to "Program Settings".
c) Click "enable logging".
d) Click "ok".
e) Put the problematic disc in your optical drive/reader.
f) Go to your My Documents folder
g) You will see a zip file called "Anydvd_Info_titleofmydisc.zip"
h) When replying or posting in the Slysoft forums, look for the icon that looks like
attach.gif

i) if you don't see that icon, click the "go advanced" button. You should see that icon now. Click the paperclip.
j) a small pop-up screen should appear (if it doesn't please ensure your browser is enabled to allow pop-ups from the Slysoft forums)
k) click the "Browse" button, and locate and select the .zip file you created.
l) click "upload"

step 8 - original disc/ not able to make back up with this info

I am redoing the run to get the error message to come back up, so it will be a little while.

That shouldn't matter. James has stated that if a disc requires "deep scan", there is a serious bug with the A.I. scanner (actually, now that I pause and think I believe there may be a bug with the A.I. scanner, but I don't believe selecting "deep scan" resolves it).

I would really appreciate if you did this when you get the chance (with 6.1.8.4):

a)Click the red fox icon on your toolbar.
b) Navigate to "Program Settings".
c) Click "enable logging".
d) Click "ok".
e) Put the problematic disc in your optical drive/reader.

l) click "upload"

step 10 - original disc

As soon as I get the error message I will post it. I am using clonedvd 2.9.1.2 and anydvd 6.1.8.4

You need to set your DVD Drives Region to Region 1
( or whatever Region most of your DVDs originate )

MXLW2K (system32\drivers\MXLW2K.sys), Version 1.1.0.114 (1.1.0.114)
Company: MusicMatch, Inc., Product: MusicMatch Access Layer

1. Uninstall Musicmatch.

2. Ensure MXLW2k no longer appears in your filters.
a) Download imgburn. It's a free program: http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download
(it's also an excellent program imo)

b) Go to Tools > Filter Driver Load Order. Check

3. i. Right click the fox on your toolbar. Exit Anydvd
ii. Click start. Right click on "My computer"--->select "properties".
iii.Click on the 'Hardware' tab--->click the 'device manager' button.
iv. Open the dvd/cdrom branch---> right click on your optical drive
v. Click "properties".
vi. You should have a region tab. From there you can select a region.
vii. Select the region that matches the region on the disc
viii. Start Anydvd
ix. click the fox icon on your toolbar. Go to Video dvd--->settings
x. Change the default to match the region on the disc
xi. Click Ok

I've been reading ..... So I've just been testing it

..... out of curiosity

Seems to be working fine for me ..... so far

.... anyway

I backed-up "The Invisible" > Full disc/ nothing Deselected

No Problem
No Problems at all
scanned through at 32x ... the result seems fine

Maybe a Bad Source Disc ?
... or other troubles ( ? )

;)

Here is the message I got in Clonedvd

Processing error
G:/Video_TS/VTS_04_3.VOB: read error

Incorrect function

This is what is under the details tab
File 1 G:/VIDEO_TS/VTS_04_3.VOB 1 TCSectorReader

Yeah, so make this step 4:

4. Download Nero cd-dvd speed. It's a free program. With Anydvd running in the background, select the tab labeled "scandisc". Select the appropriate drive letter, and click "start". If Nero cd-dvd speed reports read errors, your disc is (probably) bad and needs to be exchanged--even if it plays fine (or your optical drive could be slowly dying).

Now, why do I have to uninstall musicmatch and install imageburn. I have never had to do this before and I have purchased these programs about 3 years ago. Makes no since why I would need to do that after all this time.
