hello everyone-always read the posts but never posted until now.my question is this-2 times i have made back-up copies of a dual layer movie i owned(casino royale,transformers)onto a blank dual layer disk.they copy fine but at one point in both movies they stop almost like a pause.i have to actually push the forward or even skip button to get them to play again.any ideas what causes this?thanks for everyone's potential replies!

Use this method (follow step by step):

Also this issue has nothing to do with Anydvd.

charlie,the only media i EVER use is verbatim

Hi :)
Welcome onboard pocketaces. :agree::clap:
In your 1st post it would have been helpful to you & us. If you'd list the drive (make-model-f/w), the s/w , the write speed & the media.
While Webslingers post may work for you.
there might be alternatives such as updating f/w for your drive. Changing the write speed. Bitsetting your drive (depending on model etc).

plextor 716-a(4x for dl media,16x for - or +,always verbatim media.the speed is written at 12x normally and i have only ever had one coaster-knock on wood!like i said,those 2 movies were the only ones to have ever done that.i do update my firmware,always have the latest anydvd and clone.webslinger,when i purchased the program i just got those 2,not the clone cd or the other.is that the only way to circumvent that layer break?again,thanks to everyone for the input

Those three issues are actually covered if you click the link I posted.

O.k, you are experiencing a Clonedvd issue. Moving thread to the proper forum . . .
Do not use -R DL. Use +R DL only.

That said, there is currently a bug in Clonedvd involving the proper removal of layer breaks from certain discs. I'm not sure if the issue is related, but it could be.

Try Clonecd (free for 21 days). If the problem goes away, I think I would look towards Clonedvd as the culprit.
