Bad Media Error

I was wondering what I else I can check if I am convinced it is not actual "bad media" that is creating my burning to fail. I have used the same disks for about 70 burns with no problems until recently. If I used Clone DVD to burn a disk it fails almost all the time, never had a problem until I finished the demo period and bought the software...figures. I do have the current versions installed. If I use the Nero software that came with my burner it works fine and never ever fails. What I usually do now is use clonedvd to burn quickly onto my hard drive first and then use nero to put it on a disk later on. Problem is Nero takes twice as long to burn, doesn't have the editting cababilities I like with CloneDVD and I don't get updates as the software is out of date so I am starting to have problems with newer disks. And lastly, I purchased clonedvd so I could use it! I appreciate any help you can give me.

P.S. I'm not a computer wizard so please speak english :)

a) Are you using junk blank media? If you're not using Taiyo Yuden (8x) premium, Verbatim, Maxell Plus, or Maxell Broadcast Quality, then chances are the answer to this question is "yes". Stay far away from Memorex, Princo, Ritek, regular Maxell, Fuji, etc. that are not made in Japan.
b) Click this and read FULLY (because the same advice applies)
c) Do you have Musicmatch Jukebox on your system? If so, click this
d) Remove packet writing software from your system (including Directcd, Incd, drag to disc, DLA, etc.)
e) Click this and read
f) Do steps 3 and 4 from here (note that step 4 requires you to post information, and this step could be the most helpful in getting your situation resolved)
