Incorrect password for Netflix

Changing the region did not solve the problem for me.

But finally I got it working. ;-)

What I did:
- Set the correct region for my location
- Exited from the AnyStream application
- Deleted the following Windows directories:
c:\Users\<your user name>\AppData\Local\RedFox\AnyStream\cache
c:\Users\<your user name>\AppData\Local\RedFox\AnyStream\QtWebEngine
- Started AnyStream
- Voila...login to Netflix worked

Hopefully this might work for some of you as well.
Good luck.

You made me curious with that
run
Code:
host www.netflix.com
and you will be surprised.

That command doesn't work on "start > run > host ..." on windows 10 x64 (host is not recognised...)

Well, I guess "host" is a UNIX command which is not readily available in Windows.
You might want to try "ping www.xyz.net" instead.
It should show you the information you are looking for.

Hi!

I tried a lot of the tips and hints, listed to get the Netflix-trouble done.

Sadly, nothing made it possible for me, to get access via AnyStream.

I hope that it will be up again working soon.

Steve

Thanks for the tip, @Free Lancer. Unfortunately, it did not work for me.

I also tried VPN'ing to France. At first I got this message, regardless of the region AnyStream was configured to use:
> An error has occurred while attempting to connect to Netflix. Please try again and contact support if the error persists.

I then cleared AnyStream's local AppData per @Free Lancer's suggestion, which just brought me back to the incorrect password error.

The Amazon page still loads OK.

Tried 32-bit and 64-bit versions, tried VPN to several locations, tried changing region in AnyStream, and nothing works.

Not sure this has anything to do with it but after I put my info in the login
hit enter I get the same result but I noticed the login box jumped to the right.

We are very unpleased to know that you are all experiencing problems getting to Netflix with our software, but we are unable to help without log files as we are unable to reproduce the problem locally.

I tried looking in that directory and all I can get to is "..\AppData\Local\RedFox\" after that it is empty. No AnyStream folders, nothing.

Those folders are mostly for Amazon. The Netflix part hardly ever touches them.

@lightheat @Cdilly Just to put it all together, when using AnyStream:

Do you use any VPN?
Do you use RDP?
Is AnyStream's region setting reflecting your geographical position?
Do you have another region set with Netflix?
Are you using 32-bit or 64-bit of AnyStream?
OS (version/bits) - will add this to the logging component, but for now I need you to reply to this.

Do you use any VPN?
I've tried it with VPN disconnected and connected. Disconnected, I get the password error. Connected, I get "An error has occurred while attempting to connect to Netflix. Please try again and contact support if the error persists" until I clear the contents of Local AppData for the app. The servers for the VPN I use have been identified by Netflix (i.e. when it's on, Netflix knows I'm using a VPN).

Do you use RDP?
Assuming you're asking if I tried to use AnyStream through RDP, no. Running it on bare metal. I did have RDP running alongside it today. I did not yesterday. Same outcome either way.

Is AnyStream's region setting reflecting your geographical position?
I set it to United States, which is accurate.

Do you have another region set with Netflix?
No

Are you using 32-bit or 64-bit of AnyStream?
64-bit

OS (version/bits) - will add this to the logging component, but for now I need you to reply to this.
Windows 10 Pro 1909 OS Build 18363.1082 64-bit

Do you use any VPN? No
Do you use RDP? No
Is AnyStream's region setting reflecting your geographical position? Yes, US
Do you have another region set with Netflix? No
Are you using 32-bit or 64-bit of AnyStream? 64 Bit
OS (version/bits) - will add this to the logging component, but for now I need you to reply to this.

Win 10/64bit

Thank you very much for this information!

@lightheat The second error message (the one you get with VPN connected) means that AnyStream is not able to reach Netflix at all.

The rest, however, seems to be a purely AnyStream problem. We are about to release an update any minute, and I would truly appreciate if you try to login with an updated version and upload the logs again (I have added more logging to the Netflix login procedure).

Here are the logs for the newest version. Still cannot login. Tried: typing manually, copy-pasting, encoding the text differently (ansi, utf-16...), using a VPN, switching the region in settings, dropping in the cookies file from a browser I'm logged in at

Edit: log is from a program instance with a single login attempt. I was restarting the app before trying every new method.

I attempted to reproduce this (which i was very hesitant to do, if i couldn't log back in i'd be screwed) using the latest beta. I signed out on both sides, and was able to log back in from belgium just fine.

Amazon > logout > log in using account details > "failed" but asked to sign in again with captcha (not unusual, did that the very first time too) > Login succesful
Netflix > logout > enter account details > logged in immediately. I know it won't help you users with problems much, but maybe it'll help the devs to narrow things down a little. I attached my logfile for just the logout/login part.

Out of curiosity where were you able to find the 1.0.1.1 version? The site on my end is only showing 1.0.1.0 and I don't see an update option in the program.

Beta versions like 1011 are always at the very top of a forum section.

Tried the Beta, still can't login to Netflix
