If you downloaded directly from Slysoft's website then it's likely a false alarm. Try downloading it again from Slysoft's website and see if it happens again. Kaspersky Anti-Virus 7 has no issues with the installer.

Yes i always download new versions when they come in straight from slysoft....i ran virus scan and re-downloaded and got same warning message....

Your problem sounds very much like one that cropped up in the betas with Windows 2000 users but it should have been resolved with the release of AnyDVD 6.1.7.4. The thread concerning that problem is here. It'd be a good idea to list your operating system, whatever service packs you have installed, etc. Maybe James or someone else will understand where the problem is.

Also meant to mention that ive never had this problem with previous updates of AnyDVD...

Sorry to ask, but you're not using a crack, right?

Anydvd 6.1.7.4 works fine on XP.

If you have Zonealarm on your system, ensure Anydvd is being given permission to access the trusted zone.
Similarly if you have a firewall, antivirus or spyware program--ensure it's not blocking Anydvd from running.
Provided you downloaded Anydvd from Slysoft's website, Anydvd is a safe program (you have nothing
to be paranoid about).

If you have System Mechanic, System Mechanic Pro, or any kind of registry monitoring program, please ensure
these programs are allowing Anydvd's installation program to modify your registry--as those programs can block
Anydvd from installing properly.

If you keep getting "your trial has ended" messages, despite using your license key
visit http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=196

If Anydvd says your drive is disabled, ignore the message unless you also receive it
when you have a movie inserted in that drive.
Some drives' firmware may report the wrong
information to Anydvd. Often Anydvd will still function properly.

If Anydvd can't see your drives or they aren't listed, click the red fox icon on your toolbar. Navigate to "Drives"-->"Selection".
Ensure your optical drives are checkmarked.

Right click the Anydvd icon on your desktop. Click "properties". Click the "Compatibility tab". If you're using
Windows XP, ensure the box for "compatibility mode" is not selected. -- thanks to vbro for the information

1. Exit out of all Slysoft programs and reinstall

a) Keep your license key file backed up safely
b) Uninstall Anydvd (start-->all programs-->Slysoft--->Anydvd-->Uninstall)
c) Reboot
d) Try running a registry cleaner program at this point like CCleaner
e) Download Anydvd http://static.slysoft.com/SetupAnyDVD.exe
f) Exit all Slysoft programs (including Anydvd, Clonedvd2, Clonecd, Clonecdtray, Clonedvdmobile, etc.). Check Windows Task Manager if you have to.
g) At this point disable your antivirus and firewall programs
h) Reinstall
i) Reboot
j) Install your license key (if required) http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=732
k) At this point enable your antivirus and firewall programs

If that doesn't work go on to step 2.

3. i. For XP with ide burners
Click this

Do what it says to do if you have XP and an ide burner/optical drive.

ii. For Vista with ide burners

Go into device manager, and check to ensure you're using standard Microsoft ide busmaster drivers.

Right click on your PCI IDE Bus Master controller, and remove it. Ensure that it also removes the driver for your DVD/CD rom. Reboot. Your system should find hardware. After your system is finished installing hardware, reboot again.

4. a) Download imgburn. It's a free program: http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download
(it's also an excellent program imo)

b) Go to Tools > Filter Driver Load Order. Click "Clipboard". Then paste the information you pasted into your clipboard into your next post (ctrl-v).

What happens if you click "yes" when the question "Continue anyway?" is asked?

Sorry guys to take so long to get back to you and to answer the questions asked....
No its not a cracked version of anydvd fully paid for as a birthday present.
I have no other firewall programs like zonealarm just your typical windows versions that have had no problem with any other version of Anydvd for the past year...
I have click the continue anyway button 7 times and nothin it shuts down only for the message of error to pop back up at a later date or when you click on the foxhead icon...
I have had not one problem using anydvd until 6.1.7.4 all previous updates have worked perfectly without flaw...:)

I would try a different antivirus program and run a spyware cleaner then. Something definitely isn't right on your system--or you have a corrupt download.

If after that and it doesn't work the best and the only thing to do is email slysoft directly and attach your key so they can look at it and see if there is a problem as well.

Can you please right-click on AnyDVD.exe in explorer, then "properties" -> "digital signatures" -> select the signature, then "Details".

Is there any warning message?
Otherwise continue with "open certificate".
Any error displayed here? If so, let me know.

I did what was asked and all it said was something about the verification but no warning or error messages i installed the certificate thing and then opened Anydvd but still get the same message.....why is that this update is the only update that has buggered me around when the last 50 or so updates have worked without flaw.....(im not a computer intelligent person please forgive my impatience...)
If the download is corrupt that means slysoft downloads have been comprimised but i doubt that and to the other poster...why would the anydvd key be the problem when its worked without problems since july of 2006....?

Maybe it is my system could be the problem but if it is i dont have the money to get it cleaned so will have to wait till i can...:(

No. It would be an issue on your end, since thousands of others aren't having problems with the downloaded file. I would try downloading the file on another system and installing it on another system as well to see if the file works. If it does, transfer that file to your computer, and try again.
If the problem then persists, you can then eliminate the issue being a corrupted download.

I haven't had any problems installing 6.1.7.4 on three systems.

I have deleted Anydvd version 6.1.7.4 and replaced it with Anydvd version 6.1.7.0 and there is not one problem no error message and no complications so far on my system....
I will just grin and stick for now to the last version as its doing its job...
Just like to thank all those that gathered advice and passed it on to me a big thankyou..
Hopefully the next update wont cause as many complications for slysofts Anydvd is one of the best programs i have.....thankyou..

just a quick question and im not doubting who's right or wrong as possibilities are endless...
Why only version 6.1.7.4 thats having this problem now that i have re-installed 6.1.7.0 no problem?
Wouldnt that error pop up with all previous versions if my computer is infected because i take it there wouldnt be much difference between versions 6.1.7.4 and 6.1.7.0.
Any yes i am just throwing the question out there....:)

A corrupted download, a modified trojan, and without looking at your system, I could also guess at a number of other possibilities . . .

If the issue is Anydvd 6.1.7.4 running under XP, why are you the only person to post about this problem? Everyone on this forum, using XP, should be able to reproduce your problem if this is an Anydvd bug. I certainly can't.
