Does anyone have a users guide on how to use the Rip videodvd to hard drive. How do I make a dvd backup of my dvd movies?

Do I need software to use this feature to burn?
 
What does burning have to do with ripping? AnyDVD just removes protections and rips. For burning I suggest CloneDVD.
