AnyDVD affecting non-selected drives

From v8.3.8.0 I've started to encounter strange behavior (long delays, read errors, etc) from drives that are not a selected drive in the AnyDVD settings.

Up to and including v8.3.7.0 was never any problem.

I've attached a shot of drive selection settings that shows only some of my optical drives are selected to be processed by AnyDVD. However, now, if I try to perform two separate processes (one with an AnyDVD drive and something else on a non-AnyDVD drive) at the same time, they seem to stumble.

It's not specific to any particular DVDs or Blu-rays, just in general. As before, never any problem before updating to 8.3.8.0.

I can't reproduce this problem. Maybe a reboot helps?
However, disabling AnyDVD should never be necessary.

Thanks for the quick reply James.
Unfortunately, reboot makes no change - always the first thing to try.

When you say "disabling AnyDVD should never be necessary", do you mean for individual drives?... or the whole AnyDVD background process?

Neither. Are you sure the problems are caused by disabling individual drives? What if you disable AnyDVD? Uninstall AnyDVD? I doubt AnyDVD has anything to do with your problems.

Hopefully you're correct.... I'll see if I can identify any kind of pattern.
