mystery new blu-ray drive

can somebody help me figure out what kind of drive this is please...

i have searched high and low and cannot find any info on it and it is causing all kinds of issues with MAKEMKV and POWERDVD. i cannot rip BLU-RAYS or play them because of errors.. please help.

According to this post, it is a Sharp drive, and you're not the only one with that trouble with that drive.
