log file created and attached.

The disc is brand new (returned first set to Walmart and bought new set from Best Buy with the same results.)
AnyDVD 8.2.7.0 and 8.2.7.1 take an awfully long time to read the disc. Approx. 5-10 minutes.

Had the error appear first at 50%, then at 48% and 68% several times. Error says PT 18.
Tried restarting the system, shutting down and restarting, uninstalling and reinstalling AnyDVD 8.2.7.0 and 8.2.7.1, etc. etc. etc.

Please help (please don't say disc is defective or drive is defective, etc. My new computer is less than a month old and so far I have successfully ripped a huge part of my collection - over 200 DVDs of all types - to my hard drive, so Been Der Done Dat). :)
Any help deemed constructive will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

There are read errors. @James would need to say for sure whether those are from a defective disc, or a protection. My guess would be defective, but he is the expert.

Sorry but I am certain it is not a defective disc as I have tried two brand new copies from two different stores. As well, I have the same issue with Season 3 disc 1, 2 & 3 and Season 4 disc 1, 2 & 3. Which makes me certain that it must be a copyright protection of some sort. As I said in my first post, Beender donedat. :)
Perhaps @James can help?

please don't say disc is defective or drive is defective, etc.
But this is exactly the problem. Sorry.
Your disc and / or drive is dirty and / or defective.

I disagree. Sorry. The discs are brand new and the drive is only a month old as is the computer. I never put any dirty or damaged/scratched discs in my drive. I am ultra careful and conservative with this. My system reads everything else just fine. I will get my drive replaced as it is under warranty but I am sure that this will not help.
I will also get the DVDs replaced, again, just to make sure....
Any chance a new update could fix this issue?

Just because it's new doesn't mean it can't be defective. We see discs come right out of the plastic wrapper defective. All it takes is 1 spec of dust in the commercial press and you've got thousands of defective discs. If James (lead Dev) says the discs are defective then they they are dirty (oily film) or defective, plain and simple. No amount of updates can fix defective discs. The choice is yours.
