Hi...I suspect a bad disc. AnyDVD takes a very long time (3-4 minutes) to complete...but eventually completes with no UI errors. CloneDVD2 starts successfully to create DVD Files, but begins to encounter read errors starting at segment 1013124. It will continue successfully with me selecting "retry" attempts (at sectors 2802314, 2809458, 2811093, and 2857574), but ultimately can not read segment 2871621 and CloneDVD2 gives a hard read error at that point and will not continue.

Please advise/confirm.

Can't copy Fifty Shades Freed using CloneDVD 2.9.3.3 + AnyDVD 8.2.4.9

While using "Clone DVD" option, during read scan of Fifty Shades Freed DVD:

CloneDVD popup:
Creation of DVD files was not successful:
missing title VOB files(s) named VTS_09_*.VOB

As per a previous post "AnyDVD takes a very long time (n minutes) to complete...but eventually completes with no UI errors." AnyDVD reports an assortment of protections removed.

Opening the disk in Windows, I see AUDIO_TS & VIDEO_TS folders, the later with a bunch of *.VOB files (including VTS_09_0.VOB & VTS_09_1.VOB).

Disk appears clean, with no significant scratches or delam. Cleaned it with a cloth anyway, no diff.

===================
Tried another Win7 PC running same AnyDVD version.

==> CloneDVD asked me to select the files where VOBs are located. Did so. But as CloneDVD was runnning read scan, got same error popup as above.

=============
With CloneDVD,

Tried deselecting Title 9, no dif (same CloneDVD error popup).

Tried deselecting two titles (just because they showed 00:00), no diff.
03 0:00 1 AC3/2 -
35 0:00 1 no audio

Yes, I believe you are correct.

I don't think it is a bad disc art masson has, I'm not being able to be successful either with it. and I've never seen this before, but even just scanning it before you start on clonedvd, it won't go to 100% on the scan. And I have version 8.2.4.9

Also, the original DVD plays OK with Windows Media Player and VLC, with same version of AnyDVD running.

As mentioned, CloneDVD doesn't complete the scan -- it gets to about 73% and the scan dialog stops without any errors reported. I had clicked on "Next" to continue to do the copy that then failed per my info above. Deselecting all titles except the two large main ones allows the scan to reach 100%, then CloneDVD was able to copy the disk without any VOB errors reported. Only the two main titles (theatrical & unrated) can be selected and played since all the extras aren't present.

Probably another issue, as you don't have read errors.
Can you try to disable "copy protection based on unreadable sectors"?
Did you, by any chance, try AnyDVD 8.2.4.8 before updating to 8.2.4.9?

Did you try a previous AnyDVD version before? art masson's log shows read errors, log files from others don't.

Yes I tried a previous version first,then when that didn't work, I updated to 8.2.4.9, but same problem.

Disabling AnyDVD 8.2.4.9's "copy protection based on unreadable sectors" allowed CloneDVD to scan the whole FSF DVD with all titles selected. I then ran a full "Clone DVD" copy and it ran to completion without errors. Playback (Windows Media Player, VLC) of the main titles (theat & unrated) and extras seems OK, although AnyDVD 8.2.4.9 still look a long time to scan the copy.

I've never tried 8.2.4.8 on this DVD or otherwise.

AnyDVD8248 did work. Here a logfile James Requested. Thanks

While there may be other problems going on, I do think my FSF DVD is defective. If I disable AnyDVD and just try to play the movie on my PC with VLC, the movie stops playing during the end credits (which is where I was getting the read errors with CloneDVD2).

Got a replacement DVD today. Everything worked fine! (I'm now using 8.2.4.10 and CloneDVD2 2.9.3.3)
