Hi, i have been pulling my hair out trying to get clone cd to work. I have been using it for years but it wont work on my new pc.Every copy it reads ok then starts to write and fails at about 10-20% in. I have tried all the suggestions on the above, even removed most of the other programs to a minimum, but nothing seems to help. Nero will copy the discs ok and i may have to resign to using nero, but i do like clone cd and it has been usefull to copy protected cds b4. There seems to be a lot of complaints the same as mine on google, but i have found no straight answers, Any Advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
jay.

1. Update your burner's firmware (if available)
http://forum.slysoft.com/showpost.php?p=12794&postcount=10

2. Use good quality media (Memorex, Ritek, Princo, Fuji, TDK from Costco, and Maxell that are not made in Japan are not good quality media). Are you using inferior blank media? If you're not using Taiyo Yuden Premium, Verbatim, Maxell Plus, or Maxell Broadcast Quality, then chances are the answer is yes.
If you use poor quality blank media, then you should expect problems.

and

3. Try lowering your burn speed (not below 4x; if you have a 16x burner and 16x rated media try writing to it at 12x instead of 16x; an 8x burn speed on 16x rated media wouldn't be a bad idea either)

4. Avoid sticker labels (they tend to cause problems)

5. If you have an ide burner and XP, Click this

Do what it says to do.

6. a) Download imgburn. It's a free program: http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download
(it's also an excellent program imo)

b) Go to Tools > Filter Driver Load Order. Click "Clipboard". Then paste the information you pasted into your clipboard into your next post (ctrl-v).

No. Leave your serial ata controllers alone. The issue has to do with using non-Micrsoft ide busmaster controllers.

Part of Ulead CD/DVD writing engine. Comes with either Audio DVD creator or DVD Moviefactory 4

What I quoted is the only odd filter that I've never seen before, actually. I have no idea whether that would cause issues. You may want to try uninstalling Ulead software on your system (ensure the filter I quoted no longer appears) to see if your issue goes away.
