AVOID LTH MARKED AT ALL COSTS. AVOID LIFE SERIES.

All inks above are A-Grade quality blanks (Datalife Plus)

printable means nothing by itself, what matters is the MID (Media IDentifier). From what i know there really is only 1 quality brand left and that's verbatim now that Tayo Yuden left the market. Pretty much everything else is B grade or C grade (CMC magnetics) crap

Undeniably the best BD-Rs are Panasonic MIJ - that's what Digistor is using.
Don't know whether Verbatim uses them outside of Japan.

Panasonic is B grade honestly. But as long as you don't get burn errors and they read fine years down the road, use what you'd like :)

Honestly ;), use your direct line to the management over at MYCE, and then tell me which is the most recommended/reliable BD-R SL&DL MID.

i have no direct line to the MYCE management over at MYCE, only 1 internal contact which isn't relevant to this case. The most recommended ones? I posted the list up in post 6, i only use Verbatim and nothing else

inkjet printable verbatim dvd+R (MID: MCC-004-00)

Code:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA1UH3H73103&cm_re=verbatim_dvd%2br_inkjet_printable-_-17-130-947-_-Product

inkjet printable verbatim dvd+r dl (MID: mkm-003-00)

Code:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817130269&cm_re=verbatim_dvd%2br_inkjet_printable-_-17-130-269-_-Product

inkjet printabable verbatim bd-r (VERBAT-IMe-00) (though i think they're currently at version f, VERBAT-IMf-00)

Code:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA1UH3H72767&cm_re=verbatim_bd-r_inkjet_printable-_-17-130-146-_-Product

that, and only that. In combination with my LG drives, that's a killer combo. Though i don't get mine from the US, as i don't live in the US ;)

cause of posts on videohelp etc and past experience ;). It's not as much if they burn good NOW, it comes down to how well do they read 5+ years back down the line. That MID does seem to be linked to verbatim and the packaging seems to match, but i havent used that MID.

Standalone players: top knotch my panasonic BD85 and BD110 still play everything i throw at it :)
blank disc quality: they're not BAD, they're not as good as verbatim but definitely not as bad as TDK :p

Whereas I only use TDK BD-R's (we go through about 500-1000 a month at the moment for work) and have no issues with them and have been using them for years whereas Verbatims have been crap in the past and given us lots of failures and returns from clients, and I only use Pioneer drives as LG drives have issues with certain Blu-ray authoring programs

Just because i'm from belgium doesn't mean i speak fluid french lol. Besides that topic is out of date. You asked for my advice/opinion, i gave it. How you / if you use it, is up to you :)

Is it the TDKBLD-RBD-000 MID ?
If so, a very reliable product for many years.
Of course this can't be generalized, but the best BD-R burn ever on MYCE was with that MID:

The comments and further notes in the MYCE forums are all in english.

Do you seriously ignore the study, the recommendations when it comes to durability and all the experiences and quality scans on MYCE (and other sites) because of a few Videohelp comments/posts and your "past experience" ?

You don't use those blanks, but still tough it out they're worse than Verbatim - just because they're NOT Verbatim.
Sorry, but that's pretty blinkered - "that topic is out of date" *lol*
