Sounds to me like they're just trying to give protection to smaller companies, not actually changing RipGuard to something more 'powerful'.

Better that the folks who might consider signing up for this stuff expend their resources on better quality products, advertising and nurturing positive customer relationships.
 
as far as i can make out,it is just putting ripguard protection onto recordable dvd's for "independent producers...who create Recordable DVD Video products".
anydvd gets round ripguard.ripguard MOD isnt a new form of protection that anyone will be losing sleep over.
