Compatible DVD Burners

Is there a list of compatible DVD burners. I want to make a 1:1 image of a protected game DVD but I get the message that my Sony nurner is not compatible with cloneCD, and the profile screeb only displays "Data DVD".

Can anyone recommmend a suitable drive?

What's the full error message, and what is the model of your burner?

and the profile screeb only displays "Data DVD".

That's normal.

Clonecd is not capable of making 1:1 backups of Securerom and Starforce protected discs. In fact, no program can without emulation.

For some reason this time I'm getting "Yes" for the RAW compatabilities that I didn't get before, yet I am still only presented with the option of DataDVD in the profiles screen. I Need a .ccd image that I can mount in Daemon Tools.

The Disc is Call of Duty 2, I think it has Securerom protection, I thought CloneCD was capable of this.

For some reason this time I'm getting "Yes" for the RAW compatabilities that I didn't get before, yet I am still only presented with the option of DataDVD in the profiles screen.

Only one profile exists for dvds.

Clonedvd is for commercial movie dvds only.

Game Jackal is an emulator, which allows you to run games without requiring the original disc in your drive.
