Keeps failing in Vista

I upgraded from XP to Vista, and I installed it, and it runs, but during startup, it almost always fails with a dialog that says:

initialise_dynamic() failed

It will work if I run it otherwise.

Well, everything but the "administrator" part . . . Apparently, Anydvd has been updated since I posted that information, and it doesn't need to be run as "admin" anymore.

Usually reinstalling fixes the OP's issue.
